I think deep down what we all wanted was an updated version of BF3, BF4; with updated graphics and mechanics from later launches (such as updated medic system from BF1, or the fortifications from BFV.) An updated BF4 with new maps, while not relying on but bringing back some classic maps, more weapons, and infantry and vehicle mechanics that resemble that of those great BF games like BF3 and BF4. But what we got called a 'love letter' was more simply the resemblance of opening the door and expecting that only to receive a kick in the nuts and a pile of shit on your doorstep from the person you love while they go and trot nextdoor to sleep with your neighbor.

Yep. After hardline, BF1 and bf5. A BF4 with upgrades and more or as many weapons as it’s end of life, better graphics, maybe additional vehicles or upgraded/advanced vehicles and upgraded or even remastered (locker, metro) maps.. I think would have turned 2042 into a winner. Instead they gave us this heaping pile of micro transaction dog shit that is unplayable even if someone is a sadist and wanted to torture themself with the shit controls and gameplay. EA and DICE had literally already won with this game given the following battlefield had, even after hardline and bf5. But 2042 is unforgivable

@@flyyah6764 look I know the game has problem but I think everyone has been just gang hating this game. It is the same formula, it's just a bit different so everyone crapped their pants.. There's different classes with special gadgets attached to each person. Each specialist provides something to the fight that others ddon't. My only complaint is you only get 1 gadget slot. Maybe they could make a standard soldier specialist that instead of a crazy gadget you could just have 2 normal gadgets. It dosnt make sense to lock weapons to classes at this point because you would really be limiting player freedom. I would hate to be locked into a sniper using the scouting drone since I hate sniping Despite what you might think of this compressed yotube video, BF4 is not better grapicly than 2042 that's just plain wrong

For BF3 and 4, by the time you've sunk loads of time into the current content, DICE was dropping significant DLC to keep you interested for the duration of the product's life. Live service seems like a negative IMO, especially from EA..they can't support the concept.

I played bf4 back in 2015, it was the first pc FPS I’ve owned. I played it here and there and have 370 hours in it currently, but given the state of 2042 I’m honestly tempted to go back and develop my skills in vehicles and as infantry, really delve deep into the mechanics which are far more interesting than 2042. Thanks for the comparison though, it was interesting to hear your thoughts on both games

An extra neat touch with BF4 was the integration of Battlelog. If you have two screens, you can have the map open in a browser while you're playing the game for extra awareness.

bf4 will never let you down whether it be the gunplay, the vehicle gameplay, the teamwork and the atmosphere, you feel like you're just a soldier in a huge army and you have your role as does everyone else and you will all battle it out for victory. The same can be said for bf3!

Excellent video! Man I loved playing with the attack heli in BF3 and BF4, but in 2042 it's just miserable. Floaty physics like my helicopter is attached to a balloon or something, awful HUD with lots missing and absolutely no secondary for the gunner. One of the most satisfying things was hitting those TV missiles and here it's simply absent.

Battlefield 3 and all those hours spent there with friends will forever remain in my heart. I don't know why but even battlefield 4 feels somehow out of place for me, don't know how is that. Always loved to play aggressive recon playstyle and had little succes in BF4 still can't undestand why though. Last BF game I've played was BF about WW1 until DICE made a patch that made the game unplayable for those who had ping above 100 which is me :). What I saw in trailers for BF 5 and afterwards killed all hope for the game series for me, it felt very sad to watch my favourite game die slowly over the years, so rest in peace dear battlefield, as you will be remembered at your best. PS: I have played every single battlefield game except BF 1943 and left the game after WW1 BF

Theirs 2 major things you fail to mention. 1, a lot of these 'complaints' are simply personal preference like movement, aim down sights, gun accuracy. Like your complaining about accuracy being too easy while using the most meta weapon renown for good accuracy and impressive cqc stats lol. Secondly it comes down to players, back when we were all young we were addicted gamers drinking mountain dew and being masters in our own world. Nowadays majority of those gamers have out grown games and become working adults who cant game as much and sadly lost our touch. Whereas new gamer kids arnt interested in Battlefield anymore, they're all playing f2p games like PUBG and Fortnite meaning those sweaty kids simply dont exist anymore.

They absolutely BUTCHERED vehicles in this game. They're not rewarding or fun in the slightest as a pilot, and the skill ceiling is so low there's no point in trying to master a vehicle. The air vehicles feel like I'm flying a blimp. And on top of it they're also infuriating to play against as infantry. There's no redeeming qualities to vehicles. Just disappointment all around.

i think Battlelog was the single greatest thing ever, i loved the idea of not having to launch the game to find a server to play on cause for whatever reason devs now make their main menu's render in full and that throttles your pc and acts as if youre in an actual game which is annoying and horrible. the Battlelog also had so much more information than anything else even going as far as letting you customize your profile page... Battlefield 2042 isnt going to get much better
