"Strategy is still a massive part of first person shooters." Someone should tell my team that every time I play Battlefield. Flanking is almost always ruined by Commander UAVs, which are hilariously overpowered being able to be launched every 5 to 10 seconds.
@ImmortalArcher10 жыл бұрын
Not even sure why the commander is in BF4.
@Moshpitti10 жыл бұрын
It's not that it can be used every 10 seconds, but the fact that it can be used back to back. There's like a 2 second cooldown from the previous UAV expiring. Funny thing is, even on paper that sounds obviously stupid and completely broken, but still managed to be put into the game without a second thought. Gotta love DICE.

I'm in the army (11B) and its mind blowing to me that 99% of the tactics you talk about are applicable to real combat. Honestly we train on all the things you said. Obviously I can't check a mini map, although that would be awesome, but taking a moment every few seconds to orient yourself and be situationally aware is something we train to do. Pie-ing corners, keeping within a second of cover, using the right equipment for the right situation...etc. It's all stuff we do in real life, and yeah it's basic but when the shit hits the fan if you execute the basic tasks and drills perfectly you are almost guaranteed to survive and win.

You know, I just tried these couple of tips, especially about using cover and the mini-map (I've always done that, though). I really made an effort to try and play smart, and so I chose the Assault class with a surpressed M416. We played Hainan Resort, and following your advise (and that of WoodysGamertag about staying away from your teammates), I managed 46-6 on a 300 ticket server. I stuck to the outskirts of the map, always had my back to a wall or the limit of the map, and made sure to look around before shooting an enemy I had snuck up on. I really enjoyed it, and by playing this way, I'd say I can get a lot more enjoyment from the game. Really great advice, thank you!

A word of advice to people on the subject of pieing corners: You don't want to do it right up on the corner itself. Peek around the corner from the opposite wall instead. You get a greater view through the same degree of exposure. Sadly that's all the advice I have with regards to Battlefield, as I presently suck outside of TDM.

I do fencing as my sport, and everything you say sounds exactly like the tactics u use for the sport. Flanking your opponents in bf is just as important, as tricking the opponent to go one way and hitting him on his 'flank' or his side in fencing. Also, trying to outsmart your opponent is very important, and I think it's cool how closely I can relate bf to my favorite sport

True. Since BF2, BC2 .. etc medic is with machine gun, not assault class. We really rely on it. BF3 medic is with assault, we already less chance to get revive, cos frontline assault get kill most of the time. BF4 defib is nerf, other weapons can replace the defib slot. Our chance to get revive is very minimum. It means BF series game pace is getting faster and faster than before. It becomes less and less teamwork, in a big map with destruction and vehicles.

Not as in: "Ah fuck it," *charges straight into ten enemies* The tactics and strategy come naturally to me, subconsciously, I don't even realize why I'm doing so well. Some of you looking to get better at Battlefield need to know that if you want to get better, play to have fun! Don't look for a good kill to death ratio, look for the small funny things.

Great advice, you could also use destruction to your advantage. At times, you also have to decide which fire fights are to your advantage. Most of the time if you're engaging multiple enemies it's best to rapidly asses an approach method. Which guy you should take out first. If there are two medics and a sniper I'd take out the medics first then the sniper. You also want to fool your enemies into thinking you're going to come straight at them by acting like you didn't see them and making them leave their hiding spot just for them to run into a trap. I am not a pro, but I can carry my weight against clans as a lone wolf.

Hello LevelCap I would like to add something to your usage of the minimap. That certainly is true but I would say that for me a big part of tactical advantage results from using your ears additionally. Sounds trivial but a good headset does help you in close quaters as much as the minimap. I listen to footsteps, comments ("one of our guys is down!") or sound effects like doors closing, vehicles, spawn beacons etc. Cheers! Beast_Clintwood

I think one explanation is that many, many players have simply given up on this catastrophy of a game. Levelcap again make it look so easy, while in reality, so to speak, it's a hole other story. Not claiming he is a bad player or anything but fact remains: He always plays against TOTAL clueless players in all his videos. I have said it several times before and I say it a again. I mean just look at that score bored at the end. Nuff said.
@imcnblu10 жыл бұрын
Christer Pettersson PC players, in general, suck. Bad. It's not like he picks who he plays against. There's no way for him to know, prior to joining a match, the ranks/skill of the players in the server. So, technically, you're right. But, its not that he deliberately hunts for servers with noobs. It's just that plenty of players on PC are wannabes who simply aren't good. He's a decent player. Not great, or anything. But, definitely way above average in the PC Battlefield community.
@davidmartin344510 жыл бұрын
imcnblu Did you just say PC players in general suck? PC gaming is in every way, shape and form, more hardcore, competitive, and high quality than console gaming by an absurd amount. If you even consider saying console gaming is in any way better an obscene amount of people will get on here and laugh at your dumb ass.

A lot of people apparently forget that when using assault rifles or carbines at longer ranges that you can switch fire modes to semi-auto and engage your targets much more accurately with rapid follow up shots. It's easy to see that what he is describing is really happening in the gameplay, it's not too fast paced so you can follow him. But why show a video where he is talking about tactics when he is getting owned, overrun or just going rambo style and being lucky?

One thing bad about that is that most people will shot the chest while standing so when you're crouched your head comes to how the chest would be at. There for easier head shot. Laying down is the same way but longer to see you there and a smaller target from distance. Do you know what I mean?

It's not too bad of a game in my opinion, but the COD players on there are annoying (jumping in combat, moving left and right constantly, shooting rpgs at soldiers head on, etc). Also, the maps seem to be pretty dark as far graphics go and it's hard to see enemies sometimes. Anybody else agree?

I tbag when it is necessary, like they bag first. Or I ill with my repair tool/defibs. Maybe when I take out somebody in a cool ass way. I RPG'd a heli when I was parachuting on ps3 and landed on a building just to tbag the guy lol. Point is sometimes it's earned.

That sniper pickup was actually the best thing you could've had in that situation. The .50 cal is a semi-auto 1-shot-kill and the variant you got was customized for CQB. The only thing I noticed was that you didn't seem to know what you were doing. Pro tip: Never under any circumstances should you hip-fire a sniper rifle.

@BeardedSinner10 жыл бұрын
Zack Mind Games is a bit different, Matimio goes through whats working on that map, his thought process to how he takes out enemies and objectives. LC is giving you tips that you can use in any situation in any maps. I agree they are similar but its not a copy.

One thing you should mention I learned from Xfactor & that is "Where there's one there's more". But I believe you were utilizing it anyway. You are humble about your aim cause it's pretty damn good....way better than mine but I've only been PC gaming since BF3 came out. Keep these type of vids comin...for BF4 & Titanfall. Thanks!

The game has been out for awhile it is very fun for me, but the lag and the freezing still exists the netcode needs to be fixed still. It's gotten to the point where a lot of the time I feel like I'm being robbed of kills and dying unfairly.
@Tophatchaps10 жыл бұрын
yes i feel the same but as i said they are trying their hardest to fix it..
@ryaneb137010 жыл бұрын
I hope so Tophatchaps. It would be nice if EA would post a short video showing the people who are working on it and how hard they are working. I give them credit because I used to be a Cod player before BF3 and boy do I love this game so much better then Cod just wished it ran smooth as butter. Which by time it will.
@marcusellwood137110 жыл бұрын
Tophatchaps I would say it's sad but acceptable for a game to release how bad BattleField 4 *currently* works. After 7 updates I still have far too many problems on the 360. The console is a way underpowered system, true, but DICE should have the netcode (hitboxes), the lag spikes (reduce the visual quality to give a playable experience), and the total system freezes on Dawnbreaker fixed by now, what, 3 or 4 months after release.
@matthewdurham41537 жыл бұрын
I would say a good tip to add is that when you do not have a shot on an enemy due to cover, distance, etc...don't take the shot and give away your position. Either move up on the guy or spot him for your team mates. I have seen so many people see someone that would be hard to kill yet they fire and then give away their position and get slaughtered afterwards. Sometimes it is best to spot target and then continue going towards you objective.

Hey LevelCap, why don't you record in 60 fps? Sorry it bothers me. I record in 60 fps at 1080p. you should too.
@evolutionsbremse110 жыл бұрын
coz youtube can't handle 60 fps
@dimashkrg10 жыл бұрын
the deal is that, KZbin doesn't support 60fps, so that means that when u upload video to YT, it converts video to 30fps and also converts it to own bitrate, that is why 1080p on YT seems like a 480p
@PhilipZeplinDK10 жыл бұрын
If you make videos for KZbin, recording at anything above 30fps (I think it's 24fps, but who cares) is useless. Unless you're planning on doing some slow motion stuff (in which case you should be recording at 120fps anyway), there's no point.
10 жыл бұрын
Philip Zeplin Good thing is to upscale your 1080p video to 4K. It doesn't impove video quality but it increased KZbin bandwtch and upscaled 1080p viduo in 4K looks on KZbin much better then raw 1080p.
