I actually really like this movie. I know it's bad, but it's a good story. They should try to reimagine the book again.

One of the greatest and profound films of all time!! Thank You John Travolta, and L. Ron 🙏🏻

A lot of people hate this movie, a movie can only be a tiny limited reproduction of this book, the audio book with actors doing the lines is 47 hours long, well worth listening to. My guess is the movie haters haven't read the book, and the social economic lessons of the book are anathema to the modern ruling classes and their minions..

As dumb as this movie is, the implications behind the mere existance of that Language-Slave are dark as hell.

Such a machine could have beneficial application mind you. For example imagine someone learning to be a surgeon in a matter of days or weeks instead of the years it currently takes. Obviously having the knowledge doesn't make you one, you'd still have to actually observe one being done and participate with someone overseeing, but it is still one very beneficial use of such tech.

Introduced me to the idea of a machine that could teach things impossibly fast. To this day, There might be nothing i wouldnt do to sit in that chair for an hour. Today i'm in applied computer science; education... all working towards that impossible goal - of course we have GPT now.

Have you been paying attention to what they teach in colleges and schools now. We are so close to regressing back to the mind set of the Salem witch trials. We’re all someone has todo is just point and scream “hey they refuse to believe our ideology “ and all the people will go screaming and try to harm that individual or at least spray them with bear mace.

🤔 The dome heads on the Psychlo race says look at history. The tech says think (Frequency, Vibration, Energy) Light. You can use a laser to communicate and send messages. That's what satellite 🛰 do. Televisions use of light & sound. So that's like the Akashick Records on hyper drive. Binge watching everything relevant and ditching all the talk shows, daytime t.v. , reality t.v., commercials, ads, etc. 🔆Nothing but Discovering Channel, History Channel, National Geographic, Languages (Communications) , Theology, A&P, Botany (Naturalism), Biology, Chemistry ⚗, Weapons, History ⛬, Biomechanics, ... the heavens ☰. The Machine is a Frequency Science. Like the television. "Piece of Cake " Piloting .... Airman, Sailing Navigation, Navy. Didn't leave the Marines and Army out just thinking. Then you start wondering... 🗺 this is only one map. 🤔Psychlo's have Mechanics, Concubines and Bar tenders. So every planet that has Psychlo green beer 🍻 .... Follow the green beer/radioactive Kool aid. I don't drink but you know where they've been. I love how much they focused on tribes of men and women. And then some. Psychlo's have dome head and six fingers. Hemispherical form. How will humans evolve in 1,000 years? Via Google. In the next 1,000 years, the amount of languages spoken on the planet are set to seriously diminish, and all that extra heat and UV radiation could see darker skin become an evolutionary advantage. And we're all set to get a whole lot taller and thinner, if we want to survive, that is. 🔆🤔Back to the learning machine. I can deal with a tan but Fffffff that.
