I’ve played Brawl, Smash 4, and Ultimate; and honestly it ain’t that Smash 4 is “bad” exactly, it just felt very underwhelming compared to other smash games. Like it’s still fun but it felt like stuff was missing

Depends how you look at it. It’s a fact Smash 4 contains more content to play with than Ultimate does but I think Ultimate succeds in what it was made to do. Be the Ultimate Smash Brothers ever in its entire series so far. Like going out with a bang to celebrate really the fighting aspect, being inclusive to both causal and competitive audience and pushing the limits Farther than we as gamers could ever imagine with such a diverse roster of honorable legendary video game all stars outside of Nintendo! A celebration of gaming. Even playing Smash 4 from day one. I feel it is an obsolete game as i think Ultimate just does the gameplay much better. Already carrying over the appealing 8 player smash, omega form, with now battlefield form for all stages. I’m not trying to put Smash 4 in the trash can too harshly but I do think it’s still a good game for it’s time. Sure it may have aged differently in my opinion but I appreciate the game for just existing and the nostalgic factor of it. At least Smash 4 still has trophies, target mode, a traditional all star mode, those are what I believe still make the game stand out from what Ultimate is missing. I don’t really value those modes but I appreciate them for being there anyways. Smash 4 deserves the respect. Without it, we wouldn’t have Ultimate. Plus Smash 4’s motif soundtrack is so hype! I love more than I did before thanks to the memories.

my smash bros List is: 1st: smash 4 and brawl 2nd: ultimate and melee and 3rd: smash 64 why: 1st’s: i don’t know much about smash 4, but what i heard of it, it seems amazing! and also I’m gonna replace my Wii with my Wii U, so i can play smash 4! (but don’t worry. the Wii U supports Wii games, so I’m keeping my Wii games, and also the Wii controller) and brawl has a GREAT story mode! and... ...THE MOST EPIC FINAL DESTINATION THEME I’VE EVER SEEN!! 2nd’s: ultimate is great but taunt animations are faster, and most victory themes have a part cut. melee, i was going to put in first, because i have melee in my Wii, but since I’m replacing my Wii to a Wii U, I’m not gonna be able to play melee, anymore. 😭 but still, melee is a great game! and the 3rd... ...oh, the third... ...i don’t want to be mean, but smash 64 is the absolute WORST out of ALL of the smash brothers games! smash 64, is missing a LOT of features! example: there’s no, side b! and also the models even for a Nintendo 64 game are, SUPER bad! the end.

I was absolutely flabbergasted and pissed when I upgraded my Wii U for a Switch, and put in Smash Bros. Ultimate for the first time, only to NOT hear this masterpiece! What in the actual FUCK was Nintendo thinking completely changing the main theme to some completely forgettable garbage when they ported this to the Switch?!
