I just want to comment on the actual gameplay you showed. It looks mad boring. Not your game play, but the physics of the game, you hit the roof of the first floor multiple times, and the chopper never exploded. You got an ungodly amount of explosive and HMG ammo. The tower is a feeding ground. There no communication between squads, so you as the chopper are basically free to do your own thing. Theres no teamwork showed anywhere in this gameplay footage. Even the air to air combat is boring. The jets are super slow, the sound they make is a joke when they pass by. They dont feel like a threat if a chopper an line up shots easily. Great video, but i can see how you would get bored of this game quickly.

The various depts in DICE/EA have to be operating in silos, the whole thing from marketing to product development is schizophrenic. Plus everyone else on pc has done the same so the servers are very competitive. As soon as I downloaded 2042 I dis-abled cross play - I just don't think it's fair towards console and you don't want to meet pc hackers. The last dedicated pc server I found was about mid December - in Australia 2042 is dead on pc.

Pushing Sony to refund me now since the start of December, to no avail. They are just spinning around it and keep talking about how it might be a ps4 issue that i need to reinstall, rebuild database etc and every time when responding with an explanation with its the game it selves they just spin it on that over and over again. Im amazed that Sony is the 1st defensive wall for bf2042. That they defend the game in this way, so I have not been on the ps4 anymore at all. Wont spend a dime on getting anything, nor will I get a ps5 which is delayed anyways which also is ridiculous. So on me alone I would have spend around 2500 euros in total over 4-5 years time easily if I would have gotten a ps5. But no. I wont. Absolutely not. Im currently in the process of pushing consumer rights on them which they also respond on with the same bullshit. So next thing will defo be pressing charges, sadly those charges will be against Sony and not BF2042 which is the initial culprit. Nor would I have a leg to stand on if I would since its purchased trough Sony.

Marcus and the rest of the lads that were brought in to save this dumpster fire of a release are *really* going to have their hands full.... IMO, best way to save this game is to cut the fat. Get rid of the cringy voice lines, give certain specialists limited gadgets so there's some semblance of a class system and just have Portal be the main focus. Allow Ripple Effect to do their thing. There are 1,000s of people working at DICE and only a handful of those people that have a social media presence seem to have a genuine desire to get their heads down, take notes of all the broken and missing things and try to fix them. I can't help but feel people's absolute massacre of BFV pushed us in this direction...

I’m just gonna let battlefield go at this point. Maybe I’ll play some of the classics again at some point, but EA has ruined bf’s chance at a future. If dice gets it together, maybe I’ll try 2042 again but it’s not likely. Only positive thing I can say in this situation is to try out games like Squad if you’re on pc. It’s not exactly battlefield type content, but it’s far more fun than brokenfield, especially when you find a talkative squad. Just look for alternative games and previous releases cause 2042 just isn’t worth, nor will it be for a while
