As a fan of the original series, this show was tuff to watch. I think they saved it (4 the most part) but the whole Kara finding Earth based on the original song of the series was a funny touch. Also the writer not casting a black person in ANY role was a smack in the face. He saved it however buy them landing in Africa and finding nothing but black people. Then they lost it again by making mitochondria Eve a white female. WTS the show was a solid 6 and help launch Katee Sakolff's career.

It always bothered me how others got angels constantly, but Roslin got hallucinations and was taking drugs during a lot of them. She had an angel once in a deleted scene, but it didn't make sense time-wise (as it took place between the start of a jump and the end, which happens instantly but lasted for several minutes in the scene).

I remember reading (in some fan fiction I think) that angels appear according to how much people (important) need them. That would explain why Baltar see 6 all time, he simply need so much care and control. I mean his role is of Judas AND Messiah at same time and he was walking above abyss more that others and played most dangerous games of them all(at least he wasn't pilot or he would need two angels all time). Anyway she is simply strong and capable enough to do it without their help most time. Really need to ask it as I can't find the answer anywhere: why the Exodus of the 12 tribes from Kobol happened? What was the catastrophe that led to it? Was it a nuclear olocaust? And if yes between humans and cylons? And if so what happened to those cylons?

The 13th tribe was a cylon race and just like the show, they rebelled against their masters. Anyway, The 13th tribe didn’t nuke Kobol but they decided to leave to earth while the 12 tribes decided to leave Kobol to find a new home which was the 12 colonies. “All of this has happened before, and it will all happen again” describe the nature of BSG universe

Yes, there was a war between humans and Cylon, that's why the humans left and the legend of the 13th tribe is the cylons they created and fought against. While I loved this show, and its extremely superior to the original, not even close, way more content as well. The original had a better theme song and established the worlds, and i liked that the original cylons were Reptiles that created the robot cylons and then died off and never shut off the Robots or something. And to point out a flaw with 2004 series, it would be the humanoid cylons, especially the final 5. Characters like Saul Tigh were destroyed because now he's a Cylon, or was 2000 years ago, but he appears human done to the cellular level, so I'd say that is human...it was just stupid. But the show had great acting, powerful scenes, incredible music and Action. Besides not explaining how gravity worked on the ships and the FTL drive the show was pretty based in reality.

Proposal for Reboot. The Galactica and the the refugee fleet find Kobol. They suspect that they can explore Kobol without worrying about the Cylons behind them. Mainly as an act of caution, there is an agreement to send a standard week on Kobol. After the week plus one day, the fleet must evacuate. Oddly during the week, there is a discovery of a few building out of place among the ruins. The strange buildings have been recently constructed. Oddly the refugee fleet find the first evidence of Earth's existence. The evidence is that the buildings have been only built a year before the Refugee Fleet rediscover Kobol..

So a sub light space group left 2000 years ago and don't have a record? That much technology would allow for records and not just writing. Say 10k or 100k and it works. By their own admission, they made it up as they went. They have glaring issues. And you will not find a system with 12 planets in the habitat zone. So, is it 2 systems or more next to each other? Then how did sub light travel keep the colonies together? These are basic questions they needed to address. And yes, I liked the show and would TiVo it and watch as soon as I got home from work.

The Cyrannus System was four stars in synchronous orbit of each other. The twelve colonies were distributed amongst them, with several more planets not habitable, but utilised for their mineral resources. Battlestar Galactica: Deadlock, shows the map and gives the backstory.

It was the showrunner who did this,i think hes Mormon/christian or something he wanted a GOD-esque arc in the series, which is why all this ANGEL, destiny was in the show. the Original Battlestar series dint ahve that much god elements, but more scifi elements, the shworunner dint want that. I prefer the scifi elements over a CHRISTIAN themed series. Also by adding a 1 true god, they dismiss the other gods lore and mythology. a similar thing happens in supernatural show, introduced a 1-god, and then completely disregard the other mythologies.
@davidtauriainen911611 ай бұрын
The two original BSG series were rife with religious allusion. Lord Iblis was an overt Satan analogue. Any time one of the Lords of Kobol appeared, Apollo and Starbuck's rainment became white as snow (even their blasters). Then, Starbuck was raised from the dead and was the human father for the child named Dr. Z (messiah or prophet), who lead the colonies to the promised land in 1980. You could make a Star Wars show or movie without the Force, and it can even be good storytelling, but if the Force is introduced (tail end of Rogue One), it shouldn't shock the audience.
