Well that's how Covid-19 began some 150,000 years ago.

Again one would think when boarding an alien ship more care would have been taken? A level 3 containment procedures would have activated upon discovery of a biological leak? Not until a properly analysis is done, then deal with the effects if any.

@Sean Carlson Sir I totally agree with you ! Since it "The Battlestar Galactica" and the only one in existence at this time. I assumed they would have a protocol in place? Be well in all you do today, tomorrow and anywhere you are. "So say we all"

Then again it's a virus that affects cylons but you should wear a Gas mask because you don't know what type of virus it is

Lymphocytic encephalitis is a viral infectious disease caused by the Lymphocytic Choriomeningitis Virus (LCMV). Originally carried by rodents, primarily rats, LCMV is no longer lethal to humans, who have developed an immunity to the virus several hundred years ago. A beacon, believed to have been left by the Thirteenth Tribe on their way to Earth, was contaminated by LCMV. When a basestar discovers the beacon while exploring the Lion's Head Nebula, the Cylons bring the device on board and unleash the virus.
@Saiyan0X3 жыл бұрын
It wasn't a weapon: it was a beacon, infected by a human virus that the 13 colony left on their way to Earth. It was revealed later that humans were inmune to the virus, but the cylons were not, so they fell like flies.

@@jamiestewart48 That thing, a common virus, certainly cannot download and infect the resurrection ship, it must somehow have biological and informational/cybernetic component (a soul, so to say, which a common virus does not have, as far as we know and understand), unless the downloading process reconstructs a dead Cylon to the last atom, including the virus, but if so it would also have to reconstruct any physical wound, and, for instance, a bullet inside the Cylon body, which would of course create a dead Cylon on the resurrections ship instead of a living one. So, a weapon or not, we must conclude that it was designed specifically to exploit weaknesses in Cylon technology.
@aleksandarrudic36942 жыл бұрын
How did Athena (8) avoid getting infected, any why would the humans send her? She is a Cylon and everybody knows that at this point? A plot hole, I think.

When Sharon became pregnant with Hera she developed antibodies or something changed with her which was why she was immune to the virus.
