I felt so bad for Boomer. Even after she shot Adama and was herself, shot, I felt so bad for her. Cavil really messed her up. But I stopped being on her side when she threatened to break Hera's neck, voted with Cavil against her whole model and kidnapped Hera. I was happy when Athena killed her.

The problem is, there are two personalities inside her. The human one and the cylon one.

She was programmed by the Cylons to believe she was human, while unknowingly performing acts of sabotage. That's why she "woke up" soaking wet with the detonators after she set the water tanks to blow up (that was a mistake on the Cylons' part; she shouldn't have woken up until she was completely done with her objective and had cleaned up her traces), also why she had a hard time saying that she'd found water on that moon (and almost blew herself up in the process); the cylon programming was fighting with her "human persona". Also why she'd left the equipment door unlocked allowing Doral to gain access to the explosives he tried to blow up Baltar's lab with. When Tyrol broke up with her she was already doing a lot of damage without knowing it (though she was beginning to suspect it). It would have just kept ramping up until she destroyed the ship or was killed.

@@jaanfo3874 Actually her "waking up" denotes a advancement in the Cylons. This was the writters way of almost given them a conscience. So she could either stop herself or not.

@@charlesatanasio Is it? People get upset about legacy characters getting gender swapped now. It’s no different from what BSG did. Only difference is that BSG was good, so it’s praised, while Ghostbusters wasn’t, so it’s woke SJW nonsense. It’s the same decision in both cases. People just pretend that every instance proves their political views, when the truth is that gender swapping characters rarely has a good or bad impact, because it’s very rare that gender is a compelling part of the character.
