Had a great time in using the Sentry in the Civil War era. Got a rear shot on a CT that killed a Wolverines gyro. This was in a City fight and I had a pair of Locust 3S that where doing a flank. This mech is comparable to a Vulcan. I would totally deploy this mech with a Lance of Goblins and would consider the Grenadier Assault Battle Armor. The other mechs in the Lance where the Enforcer III, Hatchetman, and Jagermech III. If the mini did not look funky. I would have bought one. I have a hard time just considering the Jagermech III. The Sentry is one of the rare original artwork i ever saw that looked way cooler than it was. I love the lore with it. The minis look.... Weird. Yours is panted quite nicely though!

@ogrehaslayers605 That's the thing about the artwork vs the hand sculpted models. They just don't look good sometimes and kinda steering us away from purchasing.

Solid little "gap-filler" mech. Good mobility and armor. Provides solid ranged support with a PPC until your assaults encounter infantry, and then it really shines. Just wish a low tech version showed up earlier in the timeline.

@matthewmarek1467 Having a basic version has it's benefits for a force. But Having it built in the high tech era is a reason for the current design

A solid infantry killer with a decent 10 point punch to contribute to mech-on-mech fights. THe biggest issue is the CASE and standard engine are practically wasted because the PPC is on the same side as the Machinegun ammo, so the ammo explosion may not disable the mech, but it's gonna leave you with just 2 small pulse and a flamer. Basically useless for an already damaged machine. Move it to the right arm or torso. Would also be funny to partly clantech it. ERPPC, an extra DHS and twice as many machineguns

@@DIEGhostfish I'm a big fan of swapping out the MG in favor of Flamera to remove the explosive problems

If I am not going to deal with infantry, I would swap out the MG for Magshots. I would rather have the rang and 3 damage if the weapon his hit versus 200 to 400 points of ammo explosion. VPS lasers in fand ar good on mechs that want to get into fisty cuffs. VPS have -1 -2 -3 at ranges. So if you are getting into melee range, that's a -3 to hit -4if you have a Targeting Computer equipped. VPS could make for a good light mech huning weapon. If you can get into it's short range bracket. One downside to the magshot is it takes up 2 crits vs. The 1 crit. Oh one more thing. In the TRO, it looks like a Borg off of Wish or Temu.

@boneshaman8912 That's true with dealing with different types of targets and in a cityscape battle with infantry, you'll want the anti-infantry version. But the VSP system is a game changer with the IS when facing off against the Clans or WOB forces

Now giving it a plasma rifle in place of the PPC might be a decent replacement,if you drop the flamer,you can get 2 tons of non-exploding ammo and heat isn't really a concern.

@semperatis I rather keep the Flamer and swap out the MG for another one add that extra ton of ammo for the Plasma Rifle. Thus keeping the death to the infantry mode going

I would replace the machine guns ammo and case with 2 flamers and an er small laser.

Addressing Magshots: they seem way cooler than they are. Magshots are amazing Battle Armor weapons and kinda bad Battlemech weapons.

@ogrehaslayers605 I totally agree with you about Magshots, i rather have ERML or something useful for sending something down range.
