I love it when anyone thinks porting anything to any platform is "easy". Nothing about bringing Rare Replay to switch or PC would be easy. Considering it would involve either writing Emulators for ZX Specturm, NES, SNES, Whatever Arcade board Battletoads used, N64, OG Xbox & Xbox 360 or just porting each of the later games over individually which would be a timely and expensive process in and of itself. The only scenario i can see Rare Replay hitting PC (360 emulator on switch fat chance lets be honest) is if microsoft decide to start selling the Backwards Compat Xbox & 360 games on the windows store and funding such an emulator themselves, yknow like exactly what they did to get Rare Replay on Xbox One to begin with. The only person qualified to say porting anything is easy, is John Carmack and thats because he is a legend, you are not John Carmack.

@@johnmorgan3492Only 8 out of the 30ish games are Xbox 360 games running through backwards compatibility. The rest use emulators designed for the Xbox One. Since the Xbox One and Windows share both an architecture and an API porting those would be incredibly easy. As for the 360 games it wouldn't be that hard to port to PC either. One of which already released on PC but isn't working anymore because of Microsoft's failed DRM.

Canet Nico It be unlikely to port them for the Nintendo Switch since Rare owns by Microsoft and plus, Masahiro Sakurai did said in Banjo and Kazooie's Demonstration Direct that Nintendo can't bring Banjo games to the Switch, but I do think this should deserves for PC release.

@@DigiPen92 Not saying it will happen but at the time maybe they didn't have the Banjo games or RR planned for the Switch but changed their opinion later or something, I don't think what Sakurai says damages the chances of it happening. But regardless of that I still see the Banjo games or Rare Replay being ported to Switch as very unlikely, RR is too heavy for a switch cartridge, plus has Xbox 360 games which would be hard to emulate on another system, for example even if you own RR you still have to download BK and BT, plus Microsoft needs to agree with the ports, I think they'd rather have games exclusive to their system to sell more, bringing them to Nintendo Switch might take away some potential Xbox buyers, so yeah I see having RR or the Banjo games ported to the Switch as very unlikely, even if they're in Smash.

@@InariOkami Yooka-Laylee was honestly not that great despite being made by the original creators. Lightning doesn't always strike twice. If the Rare team were to get talent who loved playing the Banjo games and know how they work and how they can try new things that would honestly sell me. I feel the "from the creators of *Insert here* are making this spiritual successor" mentality has waned on me a bit. I actually hope that with Microsoft actually taking gaming more seriously now and heavily investing in their first-party studios , they'd want to bring the Playtonic Games people back for a new Banjo game remake or third game.

Malhão Malhoa The two games are the same except L&R looked and played way better despite being a more censored version. BFD has a fun multiplayer selection but single player controls were rough especially ww2 and vampire sections. Meanwhile L&R multiplayer actually expanded the story with an alternative future timeline and was solid gameplay. Obviously it would be a follow up to that L&R and not the original since L&R was itself already the follow up to BFD. Rare Replay is the reason I wanted and got a Xbox One. It is the best combination of games I’ve ever played and I love Rare’s game library even the Xbox era games! Pick this up on Game Pass or physically. It’s worth it!

I may not have been a fan of the Battletoads, but seeing a Rare series(Great pun) be greenlit gives me hope that you keep the pace going with a revival remake of the first two Banjo games. PLEASE Rare, work with another company to make that a reality. Use that to test the waters to confirm to yourselves the pure hype we'd get for a third Banjo Kazooie game, something we've all been waiting for for years.

I've actually been replaying through all the Banjo-Kazooie games again. I just 100% completed Banjo-Kazooie, and now I'm currently playing Banjo-Tooie which is my favorite in the series. Between all the different skills you can learn, all the different egg types, and the awesome Doom style mini-games is hands down the best Banjo-Kazooie game imo. Also, all the little easter-egss and references to other Rare games is awesome. My favorite part in Banjo-Tooie is, when you talk to the Alien in the spaceship for the first time and Kazooie asks him if his name is Elvis, which is the alien from Perfect Dark lol! CLASSIC...love this franchise. I really hope Rare and Xbox can revive the Banjo-Kazooie IP because, it's still my favorite action-adventure platformer of all-time and would love to see it return next-generation coming up. PS: I also think a Jet Force Gemini 2 or even a Remaster of the original game would be AMAZING!!!
