Hi Sandy. Twelve years ago, I moved from Eastern Ontario to central Alberta. Last week, we received 6 inches of wet, heavy, dense snow. My partner has lived in the Western prairies for most of her life. She helped shovel the walkway. She has said it was the heaviest snow she had ever encountered. When I told her that snow in Ontario and Quebec was heavy like that, she was amazed. Good luck with your snow. The good news is that you have a mill, so you can harvest and utilize any damaged trees.

I always revel in the fact that I can handle most of the things that Mother Nature throws at me. That sort of thing brings out the man in you. It can be a lot of work at times, but work is what keeps the wheels turning and the heart pumping. Looking forward to a winter storm warning for my place from tonight until Friday. I've already got everything put away, so I'll have no obstacles when it comes to plowing. I have an open cab 3046R, so I can relate to you riding that mini-skid in the snow. Good luck to you, and I hope your ground freezes soon!

I snowmobiled for some time decades ago and always wore a full face mask. I cannot for the life of me see the need for your face to be covered in snow; so cold.. or guys snow blowing in the wind, face frozen - you don't have too. They're only $15/25! Mine had a combination nose, mouth flap.. Now add ski goggles and you can be out there ALL DAY LONG, very comfortable. Enough said. Great Video, Sandy!
