Isaac you’ve grown so,your priorities do change as well as little Ember is growing so fast and you see that and don’t want to miss a moment, you’ve been hit with so many obstacles and have maintained a great attitude where most of us would have buckled under the pressures by now,I admire and respect you so much for that❤❤❤❤❤

Hey Isaac my husband is a mechanic and he said this is how you fix an electrical short. Put a test light in line of the negative post of the battery. The test light will come on if there is a short. Go inside start pulling fuses one at a time. When the test light goes out that's the circuit that has the short and needs to be repaired. I hope this helps you out.

Priorities change with situations. It is healthy, normal, necessary. What used to be a full-time thing to lose yourself in is now a tinkering on it here and there as time allows. Your daughter is beautiful and she will always cherish the time spent with her dad. You won't regret not finishing a bus in 30 days but you would wish your Ember moments were longer. They grow up mighty quick.

Be sure Ember knows which caterpillars are safe to touch and which are not. The "Wooly Worm" that she had on her hand is safe (and also -- according to some old-timers -- is a good predictor of what sort of winter there will be in your area), whereas "Saddleback" caterpillars can sting. My dad was a college professor of sciences and I knew as soon as I could walk what could hurt me and what could not, mostly because he watched all his kids like a hawk when they were outside. I still hear warnings in his voice, even though he's been gone for 23 years. Never underestimate what children can learn from you and what sticks with them. Good luck with her! She's lucky to have you both as parents.

Prepping the bus for the inside build is the hard part and takes the longest . It has to be water proof and weather tight . The electrical has to be dependable . The bed and cabinets and floors and walls and ceilings I feel will go fast for you ! This is a personal build so as long as the outside is done before cold weather sets in you will be on track . Time with Ember as a small child will go by fast so enjoy it while you can . The bus build is second !

Hey Isaac, know what your saying 100% been working on this step and for several months and haven't even started yet, I think quite a bit of it is if your building for you or for sale .this one is for me ,so it gets a bunch of secret touches that a for sale one wouldn't get along with extra wiring for special stuff that I want ,of coarse I'm doing all the brakes ,wheel cylinders 2 on each wheel all new shoes axle seals the whole 9 yards. Sad o yea it's taking a long time , but when I get done I'll know exactly what I've got, should be good to go for a long time, seems like the light at the end of the tunnel is very small right now ,keep thrashing Issac well get there say hi to everyone ,yea Nathan too!! 😊

I feel your position to an extent, Isaac. It took me 4 years just to build out my Suburban because of all the circumstances in my life. It went very slowly due to the Midwest weather (doing nothing for 6 months of the year) and the availability of help from my ex. That was on top of me trying to downsize through multiple garage sales, and still taking care of my family that I am stepping away from when I leave here. Nothing really goes fast in my life. Lol. 18:44 mark: I totally underestimate all of my projects (including meal-planning), which means I'm always late getting things done. 🤦♀ The good part is that it does eventually get done. 🤷♀

Take your time and make it right on making the Skoolie bus drivable and livable. Regarding your shop building If it was made right. The missing complete building plan should only be the problem and it may not need retrofitings of frame joints and frame concrete bases, if there's no cracks on side walls and frame bases, concrete ground and roof sagging. I've worked in a construction site where we did retrofitting a 2 story condominium complex hit by the Northridge earthquake in year 90's using stainless steel retrofitting bars.

You need to take into consideration you have had a lot of irons in the fire with the house which a lot of that is finished. You also don’t have the big shop you had which made conditions of weather not as big of a problem. But you will eventually hit a place on the bus where it will begin to come together a bit faster and the bus is going to be so awesome and worth it 👏🏻💯😎❤️

You've got sooo much on your plate with getting the property legal so the fact you've done this much on the bus is impressive to me! But totally agree. Building a bus is no joke as I said on your instagram. I thought I'd be done in 6 months LOL, but I'm 17 months in with my mini Chevy bus, moved back to my childhood home to have space to build it in the backyard with a garage. I work full-time and just do what I can after work in the evenings and weekends but like you said you've gotta have some free time to do other things too. Even if I put up one screw or cut one piece of wood I see it as one step forward. After 17th months of "just keep going little by little" it's starting to unfold before my eyes. I've done full demolition, body upgrades, floor rust, installed a passenger seat, suspension work, soundproofing, insulation, walls and ceiling back up to just finishing my wet bath today so I can finally build my bed and cabinetry, plumbing, electrical, etc. Like you said you've REALLY got to want it but it is possible for anyone. Highly recommend FB marketplace and thrift stores for cheap tools and then buy new blades, etc at your local hardware store. Much respect to anyone who takes on this journey. I know the reward will be worth it. You really learn A LOT about your self and your ability to have discipline.

Idk why but I’ve watched Isaac since way back on music and his whole demeanor changed when Jaylena came around. It’s like she sucked the energy right out of him. I think the splitting up thing is more her than Isaac and she just wants to run like she usually has. There’s a pattern with her. It’s like she’s done sucking the life out of Isaac and now time to move on. But she wants to worry more about a van than her child and her child’s father missing those moments by taking her all the way to Texas. I feel sorry for Ember and Isaac because he is gonna miss out on so much. I hope he keeps a property and an actual home for Ember like he said he was going to so if Jaylena goes buck wild on the road Isaac can legally keep Ember so she can have a stable home. I will come babysit anytime as I’m sure many others will too.
