Idk how they went about getting into CSGO but it's like they just looked for the top stat players and then just let the players make decisions. Imagine if they went to any coach, caster, or other team owner, gave em some consulting money and said "We got $3M (in 2016 so that would be absurd probably) to spend, what do we do"
@Olliejfc3 жыл бұрын
@@tylerhazleton4227 originally, they picked up the mix eu roster that g2 had. I believe it was fox, rain, aizy, maikelele, and jkaem. Roster becomes messy after that but eventually found success after picking up karrigan, allu and kioshima. Then niko gets picked up for aizy and eventually guardian and Olof replace allu and kio respectively.

This only solidifies the argument that other pro's only respect other pros that are fragging well. On the surface no one talks about the job being done by the IGL as long as his strats and philosophy work. Hence why letting go of Karrigan from FaZe was a "no brainer" to people even though he clearly set up the players that could preform well to do well. No one is watching why top tier players are preforming well as long as they are preforming. This also gives the joke ALEX made about ZywOo even more context. Ofc ZywOo is fragging when people are flashed. He is being set up to preform to the level he knows best, fragging. Things IGL's do are being overlooked simply based on the results and not how they are doing it. Niko probably felt that Karrigan couldn't contribute more to his fragging even though he most likely put him in positions over other players to preform as well as he did.

@@gordonramsdale Just based on your username I am doing to assume you are trolling and have not watched the video, or even understood the point at all. All of those except for Gla1ve are not even remotely proven as IGL's. People cant frag if they are not put in positions to frag, that is pretty much what 90% of this video is about. Karrigan explains the situation in FaZe very clearly and what their issues were. Still they won shitloads of stuff with 2 different stand-ins with 3 days practice. That shows immense adaptability and understanding of the game from his side. Not to mention his agility to sacrifice his stats and performance to set said players up for success.

00:55:03 I love what Thorin says there. Because he is 100% right. The Scoreboard as it is right now is wrong. Back in 1999(beta 3 cs) they removed the frags from the scoreboard to strengthen the team play spirit but the community complained so they brought the frags back. CS would be a better game when Frags would be removed.
@MrVybson3 жыл бұрын
Honestly, the advanced tab should be the default scoreboard. ADR, EF and UD, maybe show the K/D at the end. It's just so much unnecessary pressure. Yesterday, I played on D2 and started off 1-8. I was just waiting for that votekick to pop up and it really lowered my morale. Maybe even add all of the other stats, like opening kill %, assists, clutch kills, stuff like that.

So s1mple is a player that needs freedom all the time? Or is it the best way he plays for the team? I mean with zeus S1mple became finally the real nr1. But how this happened? What did Zeus what others didn't can do? Everyone knows zeus is no strategy mastermind, he is more like an IGL that motivate people around him and more a "coach" guy. This question came in my mind when karrigan talked about Woxic and ropz. Karrigan seems to gave Ropz a spark to improve as much as possible.

Ohh I just hope Gla1ve and Astralis get their stuff together by the next major. I really want to see Karrigan vs Gla1ve again. Or I wish it was still the old Astralis. Because, let's be honest, NAVI isn't a very strategy focused team. They do rely on their sharp ends like S1mple, electronic and now B1t to get them rounds with good aim and rotations (Think S1mple on Nuke last year). And while this Faze looked good, the utility usage from the Astralis era was off the charts. Arguably that's how they won 1v1s without necessarily always being the world's best aimers. I just want to watch in form Gla1ve vs current form and team Karrigan. I don't even care who wins. It'll just be epic.
