In Norse mythology the Gods are comprised of two groups the Aesir and Vanir. The Aesir comprise of the main Gods who embody power and war like Odin, Thor, Tyr, Heimdall and Baldur while the Vanir embody nature and fertility like Freya, her brother Freyr and their father Njord (but there's not as much surviving information on them compared to the Aesir). These two groups waged war against each other until a truce was established that saw them unify as one pantheon. Additionally a handful of Giants are also aligned with the Gods including Loki the Trickster and Skadi the Huntress. Fun fact about Magni and Modi is they're destined to survive Ragnarok, the Norse Armageddon event, so Magni's death really sets the stage that anything is possible for those who know Norse mythology. Modi's own "how did you?" also hints towards them knowing this fact.

And I wonder how that prophecy of their survival was implemented in the God of War universe. Were they actually destined to survive Ragnarök? Or did they just think they were, because they interpreted the prophecy wrongly? What if the exact words of the prophecy were "The sons of Thor shall not die in Ragnarök"? Being the arrogant and not very bright bastards they are, they would have interpreted it as meaning "we're gonna survive past Ragnarök", when it actually meant they would die _before_ Ragnarök.

@@ysgramornorris2452 I think the implication is supposed to be that Ragnarok was supposed to proceed exactly as Groa told Odin (and how we know it happened in mythology) until Kratos showed up. Kratos is an unforeseen variable, and even Groa (come Ragnarok) believed that the "champion of the Giants" would be Tyr, not Kratos. We know from Ragnarok and the original GOW games that prophecy is, as Mimir puts it, "pure havers" and is based on prediction: my take is that the prophecies that Faye and Groa could see were _possibilities,_ perhaps even distinct and likely ones but possibilities nonetheless. It's kind of like playing chess and winning when all of a sudden your enemies gets two queens (Kratos and Atreus) and also gets the old queen back that you took earlier (Freya) and a bishop (Mimir) for good measure.

Deep lore cut: the symbol that appears on those magic seals when you break them with the chisel isn't a snowflake. It's the Nordic Compass, or Vegvisir (which means 'Wayfinder'). It's a runic travel stave, a written spell meant to prevent the bearer from becoming lost and protect them from dangers found while traveling. Vikings would often carry objects marked with the Vegvisir when setting out on long journeys, or carved into important bits of their ships. It's ALSO the same symbol that Freya marked Kratos and Atreus with to hide them from the divination of the Aesir during their journey to the peak of the highest mountain in the realms.

90% of situations where you get hit during a fight can be saved using the shield! it feels like you only use it when you see see orange/red circle indicator over the enemy before the attack. This is not the only time you can you use the shield. Use it more often instead rolling away from the enemy. Rolling is a more error prone strategy.

Another tip, the talismans that are given to you can be put on the armor in all three pieces but you must get the armor that has spaces for talismans

heres a tip : when you need to kill a lot of enemies very quickly, fight bare handed since it increases the amount of stun the enemies get. Then just use a finisher on them.

Also, the two actors who voiced both Magni and Modi are Nolan North aka Nathan Drake, Desmond Miles, and the Penguin and Troy Baker aka Samuel Drake, Two-Face, and Jason Todd. Well, I won't waste any more of your guys' time, you two stay safe and have fun. Also, if you parry at the right timing of the attacks, it will help you. Another thing, if you double tap on L1 on the controller you can break the enemies' shield defense, leaving them temporarily vulnerable, trust me.

Well you were putting each in a stun state to phase them to the next phase of the fight. That's why you couldn't hit Magni when he was down, so you focus on Modi. Let's say you didn't stun Magni as well, then Modi will get up again and you gotta stun them both again. Exactly like what happen at the end.

If you want to. You can change the tapping the button to holding from the game settings at the accessibility tap. Also the chisel breaking seals can be changed to one single hit as well instead of finding three spots to hit.

You're getting good at parrying so use your shield more often. Dodging must be done for red circle attacks though so balance is the key. But really you are doing a good job. A quick tip: Just check out your moves in the skills tab(non-runic) before starting a play session, so that you can add variety to combat and continue on without getting interrupted by the enemies. For example, enemies that seem to block your attacks relentlessly could be brought out of their defensive stance by using shield bash attack in barehanded skills tab. Just check it out. Also, focus on axe throws for enemies out of range. You seem to opt running towards them.

@@cait_and_kati That's great actually. That seems to improve your combat with every video. Just use the skills tab for quick review of the moveset so that you would not take too long to progress. Some moves are key to takedown specific enemies (very few occurrences) but yeah this could really help with your pattern of uploading videos.

If you want THE BEST mid game armor, go back to the Lake of the MINE and complete the three side quests fir Tyrs Treadure armor. It has the best rounded stats and LOOKS AMAZING!
