PMC is a fun faction, but they're primarily an infantry-based close-quarters faction. Why anyone would vote for wide open maps like Al Basra is beyond me.

10:51 I think this is fine. It is light and fast not meant for close air fights. And the armed version with the rockets would be too strong otherwise since there are no surface to air missles in Squad and TOWs were nerfed. The pilots simply need to be more careful and not fly into a BMP

You killed the M117 with the AA gun but I hit one of the PMC SUV's with it with at least 20 rounds in the engine and it lived xD

The cas heli is very squishy, but with no real AA in the game the solution is to just fly as high as possible. Kind of a skill issue from their side flying that low, where IFV elevation is enough to hit them

At least at some point in the game's history, sitting in the pilot seat makes you immune to direct damage like bullets, even if you got shot through a gap in the hull.

The CAS heli went down as soon as it went up, the other little bird did absolutely nothing of value because Al Basrah is way too small to benefit from meaningful heli transport

clearly it's op lmao. will never understand why people are so quick to start whining after MAYBE 1-2 rounds of experience. it takes longer than that to know how good/bad a new addition is in any game, but especially in a super slow one like squad

@boinqity4621 I have 20 rounds post update and 1200 hours in squad. 1 single .50 round completely engining a scout heli, means the scout heli needs work.

Lol you can 1 tap the loach engine with a single .308, or 2 rounds of intermediate riffle rounds (5.56, 762, 5.45 etc) it’s so broken

@leviroche9831 I thought I was crazy bro. Then to make matters worse, the next game, I got hit by a tow in the raven as I was landing so a bunch of smooth brain free weekenders, who were mad they didn't get to fly, starting yelling about me crashing. It was a great time.

in regards to the 08:00 minute engaging of the enemy MSV how did you know to have your reticle slightly left off the target? were you off kilter and adjusted? and if so how would one learn to do such a thing I'm sub-par at armour is all, nice vid matey.

The vehicle was tilted to the right, so with that my reticle tilts and i have to adjust. On the BMP-1 the + at the top is essentially what you need to use when tilted, mentally or physically put that cross above the target and try to get the range right.

Do the vehicles need to be occupied for it to count as a destruction? I just bought the game, and I noticed I wasn't credited some of the vehicle kills at the end of some of the matches.

No they do not, was shooting a empty gun truck and it was counted, so as long as you get the final hit it counts

it's interesting they said they're going to add ground to air missiles, i would think gun-based air defense would be a lot easier to balance

@@HenkiSpanky well, the issue is that US Army, BA, and CAF all don’t operate SPAAGs. In the case of the first, they have a Stinger missile system on a Humvee, but that was severely dated by the mid 2010s. But all don’t have an SPAAGs equivalent to the Tunguska or even the Mt-LB with the ZU-23 thanks to their host nations focus on establishing Air Supremacy…

I think the one for russians could be ZSU-23-4 Shilka. Tracked lightly armored spaa with quad 23mm gunsm probably easier to balance than missiles. And for NATO, maybe they could add the LAV-AD without the missiles ?

@@scouter7405 again, MT-LB with the ZU is already in the game. And adding the AD without missiles would be a massive creative liberty as nobody but the Marines uses it, and the system was primarily designed to use the Stingers first with the 25mm gun being a secondary system. Western ADA is the primary issue here of getting something that fits. It’s either introduce MANPADs/missile systems, or take a lot of liberties.
