Greg is like that dude in school who “never studied” but always got a good grades somehow. Nice tournament bro! Those big lakes out there are wild, idk how I’d like those 😬
@SMF895 жыл бұрын
Strong work Greg. I like how you decided to switch up to a deeper area, making a power move, since you received intel during practice about your areas. That 12.00" was everything. Also, strong work for not giving up during crunch time. As a tournament angler myself, I have come to appreciate that last 1 hour before "Lines In", as a miracle hour. Several times it has made my success, even coming down to the last minutes before the end. It can put you in the top 10, the money, or big fish pot. We laugh often about catching dinks, but in tough tournaments, they pay the bills. I do not care what anyone says!

Wow!!! You always pull a rabbit out of the hat Greg!!! That’s what makes you an amazing fisherman. You were able to adapt and overcome. From 40 feet to 8 feet. Crazy!!! And when in doubt, pull the fairy wand out!!! Great job!!!

I'm a big Z-drop fan as well. One thing that I like to do sometimes, is just dip the back portion of the tail in JJ's Magic. For some reason on those tough days or lakes that has made a difference for me.

@thesmith10175 жыл бұрын
That whole scenario happens when you reel while your drag clicks, it puts twist in your line. It happens extremely fast in mono and fluoro, but take a while to happen to braid.

Way to stick it out! Ouachita is full of those spotted bass but I don't think they will get you in the top 10. When are heading to Ark? I'm still trying to decide if I want to fish the open. It's going to be a pretty stacked field.

15th. I thought you might have done better in the rankings. Thats a dam tough lake. At least you caught your limit. I heard a saying years ago. That 90% of all fish are in 10% of all waters. The world fishing network channel would say that all the time. I don't know if it's true? but it kinda makes since in a way. Better luck on your next tournament Greg. 🙂

Skunking is not emabarassing. Not trying is. You said that last fish was not epic, well subtract 12 inches and 15th place turns into what? Way to stay positive and good for you. In regards to the scent you use, when do you prefer to use shad over crawdad? How often do you reapply? Thanks in advance
