I wish they hadn't done this trailer so out of context. She starts out in just the suit. That line is the lead up to her adding the signature red hair to the cowl. I'm hoping they made the trailer so cringeworthy as a joke. You want a show that shows the proper way to display strong women without pushing an agenda? Look no further than Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It displays female power while showing the vulnerabilities of the women on the show. It also hosts a couple of lesbian characters without that lifestyle overshadowing the characters or the story. This show has the right balance of these things while making the story front and center, and making the story nothing short of outstanding.

I was completely turned off by this trailer. Batwoman comes across as a conceited jerk. She needs a bit of humility. She just storms into Bruce's home, and forces her way into the bat lair. She doesn't take the time to get to know the caretaker or the manor, or explain her background to him. She is inheriting all of her gear from Batman, and her wealth, but she seems to want to prove she is better than him. You would think that since she is Bruce's cousin, she would be more interested in finding out what happened to him. Or at the very least honoring his legacy.

From the trailer it's already clear the bad guys have seen her face and know who she is. Jessica Jones(the show) took a character who was unknown to most non-comic fans and turned it into a ratings powerhouse. Elektra showed up in Daredevil and ADDED something to the show. Charlize Theron killed it in Mad Max: Fury Road. Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman was received well across the board. Halle Berry in John Wick 3 was great. Sigourney Weaver(Alien, Aliens), Linda Hamilton(Terminator)....'nuff said. But THIS? This is a trash fire in a sewer.

This has really pissed me off, they have destroyed this character already. Batwoman is a brilliant character, she is an ex spec ops solider who is mentally scared due to a hostage incident in where her mother and twin sister were murdered and she survived. When she left the army she was mugged and attempted gang rape was on the cards until her cousin batman saved her, she decided she was going to use the bat symbol to reek revenge on criminals but she killed and batman refused to acknowledge her or work with her initially. Now this TV series is just pure man hating yet again it’s a massive slap in the face to the iconic batman and batwoman as this is nothing like her origin story. Good bye DC I’ve unsubscribed and I will not be tuning into this you have insulted the batman character and batwoman good bye.

I feel like this is the cinematic version of the meme 'You had ONE job'. I'm of course referring to WB, in what was a desperate series of course-correcting attempts to claw their way back from Hollywood Limbo. With Wonder Woman breaking the curse of BvsS, and their carefully calculated efforts to slowly back away from the Man of Steel trilogy with Aquadude and ShaDAYUM, it finally seemed like they were starting to learn how to do super hero movies. But now they've produced the cinematic equivalent of hitting themselves in the face repeatedly with a burlap bag filled with cutlery and other hurty-pointy things, known only as Batwoman. Warner Bros, I am Disappoint. I'll just go back to waiting for an Alita sequel, more kaiju movies, and the occasional horror film, cause honestly I'm getting tired of watching these major publishers build themselves up, only to tear themselves back down again.
