The paintings of Stefan Baumann reveal the true spirit of nature by transporting the viewer to distant lands that have gone unseen and undisturbed. With the huge success of Baumann’s weekly PBS television series “The Grand View: America’s National Parks through the Eyes of an Artist,” millions of people witness for themselves the magic Stefan portrays on canvas, his passion for nature and the American landscape. By distilling his love of nature into a luminous painting of brilliant, saturated color that transcends conventional landscape and wildlife art, Baumann has captured the hearts and imaginations of a generation. Each painting becomes an experience rather than merely a picture - a vivid manifestation of his special and personal union with nature and the outdoor world. Through his mastery of light, color, and artful composition, Baumann invites you to experience nature in its purity. It is no wonder that for many years distinguished American collectors, including former presidents and financial icons, have sought out his work.

So shadows you want to be translucent, highlights to be thicker to appear brighter. I also got a kick out of your potato transformation into you favorite moss covered rock. As always, entertaining, AND super informative! For those of you out there that are thinking of calling Stefan: CALL HIM! He is an awesome coach! Haha, Bears won't make you stronger, they will kill you -- I caught that Stefan ;-o. Thank you again and God Bless Buddy!

Great video, always packed with information. I learned a TON on my first coaching calls, signup while he still offers them. Getting 1 on 1 discussion with a world class artist is unheard of and its $40/30 min, which is less than psychics charge! I tattoo and charge $150/hr, he's only charging $80/hr, so if you're serious about learning to paint, this is literally the best thing you can do to advance your skills IMO.

Great video, it would be nice to have a clickable link to your patreon account in the description. I believe it would drive more traffic to your account and at least people could check it out.

I have watched several of your videos and a common color you use is a brownish dark, sounds like you are saying As something. I have researched and tried to find my answer. What color are you saying? I think you said it was a mummy color or something. Just curious. I paint with acrylics.

Great work, I have a question though, you say not to use picture references but you seem to be constantly referring back to the photo next to ur pallet is it just the basic shapes you’re referencing

He is doing 20 things at once, Im sure its difficult to keep track of all the aspects of his media presence. He probably intended to post it to patreon, or thought that he already did. We get lots of great content on patreon though. His key's list was great, i made my own from collecting them throughout various videos of his, but he added a few. He also breaks down temperatures in some of his video if you're watching carefully... he recently listed all the cool colors in a live video... which i was shocked, because he generally saves that for the VIP members! But he is a teacher at heart, and really just wants to inspire people and share with them and gets in that excited mode to upload or share something and pulls the trigger. But we get lots of extra content in patreon, so no sweat. :)

And btw- does anyone else notice him getting annoyed when anyone else talks. When a student speaks- you shouldn't be looking like you want them to shut up! I've watched all these videos.... so I'm not making it up or coming off of 1 video! It's a lot!

@@MegadoseTheOutsiderArtist Trust me. I get much more annoyed when most of these students speak. Every so often, it's a good question, but lots of time they just interrupt with nonsense. That said, these look NOTHING like Bob Ross paintings. And Stefan actually teaches with his words, as opposed to Bob Ross who gives useless advice like "what the heck, let's add some brown to this mix." without actually telling us WHY he wants brown in the mix. Stefan has justifiably earned this award with his many videos covering pretty much every aspect of painting for painters of all levels. I love this channel.
