Oh crap, I thought a big skip/sequence break was found, but this seems way better to me. Feels like it maintains the spirit of the speedrun without making it some Pokemon Yellow meme crap. I'd love to see if this mod is compatible with other mods, it would help shave off so much time with trial and error, exploration saves. I can really see this helping to breath a bit of life in the speedrunning community for this game.

Downloaded the Mod myself and tried speedrunning it too. My fastest time is 25:40 and 30:00-ish... Here are some points you guys have to watch out for when speedrunning. based on my run: -Crawling Misty inside the bus either takes 3 shots or 5 -the Zombies in the evidence/locker room before the office has a chance they're not close to each other making you vulnerable to grabs or you can get past them. -for some reason there's a chance that MarVin turns arounds the moment you run to his right if you circle around him -the zombie in the Helicopter corridor has a chance of being slightly moved forward and can grab you. I dunno if I just got too close to it. -the Spiders in the tunnel are either on the wall or on the ground just like normal. -G dies very quick in 4-5 magnum shots. -Birkin Randomly swipes the moment he stands up as if you're in his range. -Doggo Birkin takes 7-8 shots to die instead of 6 -that one lab zombie gets to close to the door after you grab the keycard -Ivy might use grab when you pass by and might get lucky and grab you lol

If items could be instantantely picked up (without opening the inventory) and even be used like the keys (without opening the inventory either) and selecting the items (like the jewels and chess pieces for example) this would be even faster.

I first played this game in 2001 when I was 8. It took me about five-six months to finally finish the game. I promised myself I would never play an Re game ever, only to pick up 3 a few weeks later 😂 Now people are finishing this game under 20 minutes, lol.

Ya'know, when you do the absolute bare minimum to beat the game you really realize how many continuity issues they patch up through unnecessary side content. Like doing the bare minimum Leon never learned about Annette Birken, yet he knew her name and who she was at the end. Also like doing the bare minimum Leon never even meets Sherry, yet once on the train Sherry's like "LEON!". So many plot holes and continuity errors got patched just in the misc. side room stuff you do lol.
