Krauser’s boss fight feels very out of place in the original Separate Ways. Like they needed a way to make Ada’s campaign longer but didn’t know what else to add so they just threw in Krauser. I hope his boss fight is replaced with something else in the remake.

I like to think that maybe, just maybe, Wesker will replace Krauser's boss fight. After Ada defeats him, he'd say something like: "Hmph, I don't have time for silly games like this! Finish your mission and be on your way!"

I wish in the remake Leon made a passing comment like, "are those gunshots?" just after reaching the village because his shots are clearly loud, and for him not to hear Ada in the background as he's fighting is a bit odd, it would have been a cool addition imo

I've always loved the music that played at the beginning of Chapter 4. "Intention" is its name IIRC. I wished it played beyond that very short section in the beginning. And, yeah, I hated the ship level at first. I kept dying over and over to those turrets. But, once I figured out how to get around them, I began to love the level. It's really unique and answers what happened to Saddler's military power we learned in a note in the main game. Still salty we never got a level or cutscene explaining how Ada got that boat for Leon in the castle.

@@Chizuru94 Ig maybe you could argue the chainsaw might be too loud but that feels like a stretch. Edit: It's definitely a stretch. Chainsaws are around 106 to 120 decibels while even a .22 lr is around 160 decibels. Now Ada's got a 9mm and a shotgun so that arguments dead.

i remember all my xbox and gamecube fanboy friends growing up all HATED Separate Ways. They all said it was the worst mode they've ever played. Which is weird because it wasn't on Gamecube, and my xbox friends never even beat RE4 so they couldn't play it either

I’ve always found Separate Ways to be a cool addition and concept, but it is some of the worst content in the OG game. Whenever I end up buying RE4 on a new console (next should be my microwave) I loathe playing through SW to get the alternate outfits and trophies/achievements. I’m hype for the remake version since they can play up the stealth WAY more

Yeah, I have to agree. The bitter fanboys can say what they want, but the original Separate Ways feels like it was just thrown together. Krauser’s boss fight in particular feels very out of place. That's because it genuinely was The Playstation 2 porting team asked for permission to make something extra involving Ada because the PS2 could handle way more content then the GameCube, it was approved, and in less then a year they wrote and slapped this together. Separate Ways was not at all planned, and the story was even written by another dev. The Remake version of it was actually planned out, which is why it's genuinely good and not just a cheap little side mode for extra fun as Ada.

I hope that in the remake they dont bring Krauzer back in SW, it would diminish Leon's fight with him that in the remake carries much more weight. If Ada fights Krauzer at all it should be before Leon's fight.

Seperate Ways was a free DLC in the OG RE4 . It was unlocked after you completed the main game. It just got released in the Remake too. Though you have to pay for it, it's pretty cheap and even better than this.
