I met Jacka hella times. Smoked with a couple times too. Coolest funniest cat ever. Unless you really been around him I don't think people quite understand how comical and jovial he was. Most approachable down to earth cat ever. Ima try and cut it short but my favorite encounter was when we Literally spent an hour or more smoking big bomb with him & Cellski talking about battle rap. They were performing that night at an event my cousin was putting on. So I kinda had VIP access to this lil hood show (if there is such a thing). This was back a few weeks before Joe Blow's first album came out. He was in the club too, and b/c his music wasn't out yet, no one really knew who he was. In fairness he was also being kinda lowkey just chillin off in the back. Young Bossi from Akron was there too. Jacka & Cellski filmed a video in the alleyway off 6th street (I think), can't quite remember and I think that club closed after numerous shooting. Pretty sure it was called Club6. Jacka got there a little later, its me, 2 of my cousins, Cellski and Husalah standing in the alley smoking. Hus wasn't smoking idk if he smokes at all, but he was fresh out the feds so he probably couldn't. At the time I was growing a lil, my cousin and I had just harvested, so we had hella dro. Jacka got there much later into the smoke session and hopped out a black limo SUV looking kinda pissed. He had that look niggaz have when they just misplaced some keys or a cell phone, where you're kinda patting your pockets and shit, and its starting to set in that you probably just lost something. He walks up to me cuz im the closet to the street and happen to have the blunt, and in his nazaly voice said "Man.....niggaz was rushing me man.... I forgot all my fuckin weed at the crib. I need like a dub or something lil bruh" I swear on EVERYTHING I looked at Jacka and said "bruh you're the Jacka. Im about to smoke ALL THIS WEED WITH YOU!" Instantly we became cool as fuck largely cuz Jack, Hus and one of my cousins go way back, but he really appreciated that jester. God as my witness, Jacka asked me later that night if I had a 16 and wanted to jump on the track for the video they were filming. I said bruh I can rap but Im not a real rapper. that's the problem with rap. Everyone thinks they can. I only listen to the real spitters who might not be good at anything but rapping. They heart needs to really be in it. This is me paraphrasing a quote I got from Lil Wayne in an interview. Jacka was kinda taken back by that response and showed me love for being so honest. I would bump into him at touch of soul and the liquor store off grand / perkins in Oakland, random spots. A few months went by and I seen him for the last time at Oasis Grill in Berkeley. He recognized me, we said what up and shook hands then he bounced off with his food. These are cherished memories of mine. I regret not filming that smoke session while we were talking about battle rap cuz it was a dope lil roundtable discussion. I love battle rap, and it was clear him and Hus also do, because they really knew their shit. My cousin jokingly hds said earlier that day "nigga dont be actin all star struck when Jack get here." So I didnt film shit. I didnt want his ass trying to roast me for asking for pics and shit lol like a fanboy. I really regret never getting to snap a pic with jacka. Personally I think him an e40 are the GOATS of Bay rap.
