I was so sad to hear about Les passing. My mom was a big fan in the 70s and so I grew up hearing the Bay City Rollers. They were on my little ipod in the 2000s. I saw Les once around 2010 when I was ten years old and would have loved to go again when this pandemic was all over

Bay City Rollers are one of the best bands in the country if not the best. Surprised how polished their performance was and the lead singer Les Mckeowan had a very bad cold yet it didnt show one bit.He delivered along with Alan and Stuart 'woody' Wood a very memorable performance.Excellent.

Massive massive band,dont think people reliese how big the BCR were. As big as the Beatles if you ask me. And smashed it both sides of the pond as well.

I used to tease my sister and her Rollermania when i was a kid, look at me now watching the "mature" Rollers 40 years later and enjoying it. I must say these guys had some really good songs and at the end of the day they deserve to be called one of the first successful "boy bands" in the music history (even though this term wasn't invented yet in their time). Last but not least they're really cool scottish lads. And yes i already apologized to my sis, she would forgive me anything, too happy to have her BCR back ;-D
@kingwithoutacrown18 жыл бұрын
I guess it had to do with the fact that as a teenahe boy everybody expects you to act tough. So back then i wouldn't admit it even to myself that i liked a song like "The Way I Feel Tonight", i just had to call it "cheesy". But on the other hand i was the "soundtrack in my head" everytime i looked at the girl i liked in school ;-D

I have to say, that I really liked this band. But there was no chance to say it at back in 70's. Now I have much more self-confidence to say it 😊 👍 In Finland girls loved BCR, and guys listened one Finnish rock'n'roll band Hurriganes.
