Bay of Quinte By-election Debate 2024

The Bay of Quinte Riding is participating in a by-election for their Member of Provincial Parliament.
The regional chambers of commerce - Belleville, Prince Edward and Quinte West - are providing access to a virtual debate in lieu of their traditional offering to the community during regular elections.

I’m from Guelph but Amanda Robertson should have your vote anyway. Please I have Autism, moderately severe ADHD and Generalized Anxiety disorder. My anxiety has been severe for the last month because I am really worried about this by election. Please vote Ndp I have no job and I live with mom and dad and my twin sister who has the same disabilities but when mom goes away the support I get isn’t great because Ford and his buddies. They keep taking services away from our family and ndp would fix it.

My twin sister and I have a severe needle phobia and need easier access to brand name numbing creams like maxilene, emla, pliaglis and Ametop cream an hour before ivs, blood work, vaccines, cannulas, cavities, getting a filling fixed, for my oral surgery to fix my oral scar before the brand name novocain shot.

My twin sister also needs 6 to 10 people before her needles because of her phobia.

Dad has diabetes, a high heart rate, high blood pressure and heart disease and had surgery last year and can’t work now. Ndp is desperately needed for our family.

Sorry I missed this debate. I did not know this was even taking place 8 days ago. The first time I heard about it was today, on election day. I think there should have been more advertising for this event. I am on all social media platforms daily and missed this if it was posted. Was good to hear everyone’s platforms today even though late. Thank you and hope to see future events like this posted or advertised more across all platforms.

Sometimes a psychologist and psychiatrist are also needed to help someone stop a drug addiction. Where are these services for free in the community??????? Answer: Not easy to find.

When mom and dad go away for a couple days, my disordered eating goes back in partial remission and my hunger cues shut off. My anxiety goes way up to the point where it’s in the hundred thousands and my dog barks really loudly all night and my twin sister and I can’t sleep the night at all. I need 0.5 mg of Ativan and chamomile tea and 5 mg of melatonin just to fall asleep and ear plugs don’t work. We also can’t feed the pets or pick up after them because the smell makes us both sick due to Autism and sensory processing disorder. We need someone here to help us with making dinner because we like eating a variety of meals but we currently don’t have anyone we can trust to make different meals they support us with our adhd at dinner. They don’t let us go out with friends and my boyfriend when mom is away because they don’t care about my basic social life. My life without the ndp feels like hell.
