i dont even bother with time trials (outside of beating every 150cc staff ghost) but i still enjoy these videos a lot, not only because theyre entertaining on their own merit but also because its satisfying to finally be told the best routes rather than just feeling lost on basically every track. its nice to have both a beginner and advanced tutorial so i can mix and match between strategies based on my comfort level. loving this channel so far :)

@@Bayesic @Bayesic honestly id love for you to revisit old tracks youve already made videos on and put together content with more of a beginners view in mind as well as more of a general walkthrough that can be applicable throughout basically every gamemode. i just want someone who has infinitely more map knowledge than me to lay out what is the best route to take through every map that basically every half-decent player should be able to pull off rather than super niche for time trials that take god knows how long to practice and pull off. just stuff like specific places to drift, which certain boost ramps are worth taking or is it better to find a position to drift, which path to take on courses with multiple paths, which shortcuts are worth using a mushroom/boost on or if certain shortcuts are even faster in the first place, stuff like that is really useful and fascinating to me. a good example is yoshi valley, that track has so many routes and i have zero clue which is the fastest nor how i could figure it out by myself. sorry this is so long but its something im quite passionate about for some reason and ive seen you ask for feedback a couple times so i hope you dont mind. its just something to take on board for the future if you wish.

@@cheekybananaboy3361 Nah man definitely appreciate the feedback. I only started introducing beginner / advanced runs starting with Dolphin shoals, which leaves like 9 courses where I DIDN'T do that, and I definitely plan on going back and redoing some of my older videos, though probably not for a while. I do also plan on putting together a how to get started style video, but that's going to be less focused on specific strats and more like how do you get better at the game. The problem with setting up a "general walkthrough" type of video is that the best lines really are track specific. Like generally release mini turbos quickly and take turns tightly, but other than that there's not a whole lot of advice that's applicable to every track or even most tracks in the game I do actually have a set of three videos where I go through and beat all of the staff ghosts with strats that are like as beginner friendly as possible, even more so than what you'd typically find in a beginner run on the Bayesic Training videos. Granted in those videos I run all the tracks without using mushrooms, but I do try and explain where the best mushroom spots are. Much less commentary than the Bayesic Training videos, but I do provide a brief overview of how to play each track. Anyways, thanks again for the feedback, I really do appreciate it!

I still really enjoy the breakdown with easier strats and harder ones. Some courses (like this one) I’m game for the harder stuff, others I have a hard time with (or am just too busy) so it’s nice to have the quick wins on the easy strats.

Great video as always! One question: I have some trouble doing alignment hops, especially on n64 rainbow Road and snes rainbow road as well and keep falling off the track. Do you have some tips? It seems that somehow the very good player can straighten their kart to 100% and I always have my wheels pointing in one direction
@Bayesic3 жыл бұрын
I don’t have much aside from practice practice practice What I will say is that a lot of the places where you see the WR doing like two alignment hops into a drift, if maybe saves 0.05 -0.1 seconds if done optimally, so often times it’s not actually worth it
@finalcountdown32102 жыл бұрын
If you're having trouble, I would say just focus more on when you have to re-align yourself after a mini-turbo rather than trying to do 2 or 3 hops before a drift. If you're not going for big personal records, it's not going to make much of a difference. But re-aliging after a boost will keep you from falling off or going off-road
@Squib3 жыл бұрын
Could you make a video on how boosting works? I'm specifically confused about how boosts/mini-turbos/mushrooms stack
@zynstein2 жыл бұрын
Horribly late so srry for that but the short answer as far as im aware is that they dont stack and any overlap just gets wasted

Are you playing on a switch with a normal controller? It seems like the subtle turns are pretty precise, more precise than I'm able to do, like on a straightaway when you're trying to squeeze by a thwomp

I think I had made the move to using a pro controller by the time this video came out. In my experience it’s not any more or less precise than joy cons, but it is different.
