I love Bayesic Training! I'm 57 and just a couple weeks ago got my first game box since 1996 at the urging of my daughter (who used to kit my butt in Sonic when she was six). So I'm very, very new to modern gaming, and this series has really helped me out learning some of the tracks, which makes it more fun.

5:15 it’s interesting cause I’m mk7, you had a lot more control over the glider and momentum, which gave this course a very different feel. Man I miss the glider starts from that game, cause some of them were absolutely bonkers.

Yeah, the gliding used to have so much more freedom to it, it feels like glorified cannon sections now. And you could even drop out of the glider with B, which would've probably solved some issues with this one just on its own.

I went from: 2:22.832 (Gold Mario/Biddybuggy/Azure Roller/Paper Glider) to 2:16.811 (Roy/Teddy Buggy/Button/Peach Parasol) This was just my first full run with these new strats and this combo, so I could probably optimize it even more. (I'm using this combo because I want to use one that is good for online races) I'm pretty sure that most of the time I saved was because of the glider-grass-mushroom-ramp shortcut on all 3 laps.

My favorite part is the goofy ahh combo. I'm glad the Booster Course Pass is creating a lot of interesting time trial combos. I like the fast glider here, if I had to guess the ramp is angled so high that it's faster to go off of it low

Other build choices that work: Character: Dry Bowser/Bowser/Morton/Heavy Mii Vehicle: Cat Cruiser/Comet/Yoshi Bike (The kart is the easiest to use bc it has outside drift) Tires: Sponge Glider: Any glider which has the same speed as the Wario Wing Also, the current Normal Items blue yourself wr used max air speed (Using Wario, Teddy Buggy, Sponge Tires, and Waddle Wing.)

Comment for the algo; Dropped from 2:16.6xx or something like that to a 2:14.7xx while knowing I can go faster. Had a 45.9 first lap before blowing it, still figuring out that glider vectoring.

I'm basically hopping on top of the glider ramp instead of tricking off of it. The same mechanic works on all the "cannon gliders", i.e. those long ones in sweet sweet canyon, cloudtop cruise, waluigi pinball, etc

I really enjoyed having 20th worldwide (actual 20th, I confirmed with 11th there was no one between them and top 10) for the first couple days before this combo finally took over. Wiggler did me well in that time!

Hello Bayesic! I really like your this video! It is really helpful for me! May I please ask you a question if you don't mind? From 2:50, the current fastest 150cc rock rock mountain world record player jumps to the left side before he touches the glider ramp. I know that if the player jumps forward before touching the glider ramp, glider comes out faster and it saves the time(this tech name is fast glider). However, I don't understand why he jumps leftward(to the left side) before touching the glider ramp. If you know why he does like that, I hope you please let me know. Then, I'd sincerely appreciate it. Thank you so much in advance!!!

Hey Bayesic! I had a question about gliders. At 2:38 you were talking about doing fast glider by hopping onto the glider ramp, and how you're not really sure why it saves time in this scenario. I was under the impression that you should always go for fast glider in situations where you can't build a mini-turbo to glider vector, is this not the case? I understand that it's more important to to do on cannon gliders, but is fast glider not always better than simply tricking on normal gliders?

So that’s the thing, the reason fast glider works on cannon glider is because of how it reduces the time it takes for you to get up to cannon speed… but here that’s not really a thing Like, unless I’m mistaken if you’re not glider vectoring you should always be tricking

the gliders mean you don't hear the sounds of drifting or even wheels on the ground which means more time jamming to the music

I originally really wanted this track in the game, and then I played it and remembered how boring gliding was in 8. It quickly became my least favourite track in the game. You glide for like 15 seconds, then glide again for 3 and the drive striaght, and then glide for even more. So much nothingness. Every time I play it online, it mentally takes me out of the game.
