I use sharpies and clear shrink plastic to make jewelry and other items. It would be cool to see what jewelry/accessories you create! Some tips for future reference : - if you use sharpies to color you don't have to sand the plastic -the plastic shrinks to 1/3 the size -on Amazon you can get bulk shrink plastic in almost any color for about 7¢ a sheet -when using sharpies, color the light colors before baking and the dark colors after baking -the color on the plastic will wear away with too much handling. I suggest using an Acrylic sealer after baking, to preserve the beautiful patterns you create -mod podge is a cost effective and worthwhile way to seal your art -make sure to bake your creations ink side down. They curl inward so placing the ink side towards the pan will prevent larger peices from curling up -use a sheet of parchment paper when baking so the plastic doesn't stick to the pan Thanks for being such an amazing person and I hope you and anyone reading this has a fantastic day!

Hey Baylee, you should be able to remove the frosted look from sanding with a little oil, or if you don't like the feel of that, clear nail polish. You could even use a scattered holo top coat to make them extra sparkly and fun!
@andrewtenaglia65977 жыл бұрын
Baylee you should do a painting on white vans. I've seen it a lot everywhere and I feel like you'd do amazing at it.
@annaggarciia6 жыл бұрын
for the clear sheets, i would recommend some sort of glaze or varnish to get rid of the frosted look and to protect the color. you could also dome your pieces using an epoxy/uv resin (you need a uv light or it needs to be really sunny fo the uv resin to cure though).

Ok, this looks really fun. I have a ton of shrink film laying around from when I used to make keychains (I printed them out, but my printer busted) and I didn't know what to do with the leftovers. Might have to try making a puzzle sometime. :D Oh, a little shrink film tip! If you ever get warping while they bake (like they don't wind up laying flat), bake them between two silicone baking mats. I found some on amazon for super cheap.
