Our local library (BC, Canada) carries lots of Nintendo Switch games - we love to try before we buy, and often the boys are less impressed with a game than they assume they will be!

Love the minimalist Christmas. We do about 5 gifts per child, one is clothes, other is often food and then about 3 other things. I looked at making it less but kept coming back to this working well for us.

Our 7 year old got an Nintendo Switch as well. Our local library here in the states has Nintendo Switch games you can check out just like a book. It's been great!

Lovely selection. I would love to see a video on sinking funds and how you save up for things. My son would love a switch - at the moment he has a Nintendo wii which was my husbands but would love to give him the switch for his birthday as I know he would love it. Love presents that will last! We have a big family and always feel overwhelmed with so many presents. They won’t listen when we say only to get small gifts.

This is so great to see! My kids got so many things over December, although I still think it’s less than average. But here in the Netherlands we first have St Nicholas and then Christmas, which they often get some smaller things. My parents are divorced and each give gifts and then my mother in law too. So our play area in the living room is over stuffed. Time to declutter! But it’s definitely harder now that my kids are 6 and 4. I can’t just take it away anymore, they notice. But if I include them in all the decisions, they don’t want to get rid of anything 😅

Yes, it definitely gets harder to declutter as they get older! 😅 I’m hoping my boys are getting used to it and by the time they are teenagers it will be natural to want to only keep the items they really love or find useful.

Mood rings are the best! My sister and I loved them when we were young. My three boys love their Switch and all the cousins have them too. Most times we ask for Switch games or vouchers to make in-game purchases (especially Minecraft). We also often gift them to the cousins. Thanks for sharing!

What a lovely home made gift you got from your sister and I’m sure she loves the cat bag you gave her…glad you are looking and feeling better and looking forward to seeing more of your projects. I recently finished the metamorphic dress from sew liberated..what a challenge with an underskirt… I learnt how to do a rolled hem…very hard to start off. I wore my Christmas dress that I sent you a sample of and now I am doing some op shop flips…. So happy you are back!

Loved this vlog! Love the idea of buying your own 🎁! My husband thinks so too and we will do that this year. I also do the gift baskets like your mom does and each one also gets their favourite home baked goodies in this basket. I received a tote bag from my mom filled with goodies when I turned 13 - American Teen Magazine, lip gloss etc and still remember how I loved it. Looking forward to your Budget video!

My 11yr old daughter asked for a purple PlayStation controller. I managed to find one (it was hard) and ordered it online only for it not to work on Christmas Day. She happy cried when she opened it, so you could imagine how disappointed she was when it didn't work. We have to wait 2 weeks now for a replacement one. I am getting my 14yr old a Switch next Christmas, she wants one but thinks it is too expensive and that we won't buy it for her. She is going to be very surprised.

Hi Ann, we always have a Roast lamb dinner on Christmas Day and my mum makes a huge Christmas brunch with pancakes and hash browns etc. 😊
