Well caring and loving to those she has a close connection to. Which are only Jeanne and Loki. Rodin, Luka and Enzo she isn’t that close to. Their her friends and allies but Luka and Enzo annoy her most of the time. Mostly teases and toys with them for her own amusement.

I mean also Bayonetta teases him cuz of his annoyance. Luka doesn’t tease her at all in the second game. In fact, he gets a bit frustrated of her insults she casually or subtly throws at him. He gets treated a bit more harshly in this game. He is the butt-end of the stick. But that’s the point. He was written to be a butt-monkey. Might wanna replay the game again, bud. She isn’t proud to see him at times and has insulted him many times. Even behind his back. She finds him to be mostly an annoyance.

She only sees him as a useful ally. It’s already confirmed on numerous reliable sources, anyway. So there are too many contradictions to your claim. Anyone else noticed how when she’s talking to Jeanne early in the game, when they briefly show off their shadows you can see the silhouettes of the demons their contacted with? Madam Butterfly for Bayo and Madam Swallowtail for Jeanne. Just thought that was a really neat touch. Also, before anyone hops into the comments and mentions it, yes I’m aware that in the game you can also see the silhouette of Madam Butterfly in Bayo’s shadow when she is idle.

They where fighting in purgatory so nothing in the city was effect apart from the two planes which Jeanne and Bayonetta used their magic on and the toy shop windows and that third plane which Bayonetta kicked in the air. The level of absolute absurdity during the boss fight at the end is absolutely hilarious to the point where I was dying of laughter! Since I've only played the first game like 5 years ago I've forgotten just how many lack of fucks this game gives with the absurdity levels. This I think beats Asura's Wrath with how much a person's suspension of disbelieve has to be catapulted out the window into the stratosphere just to come close to appreciation how much of a fuck fest this game is!

The costumes and the weapon changes with them were a great touch from Nintendo to show the care they put into the IP after taking it over.
