I visited Baytown two weeks ago. It's really not a bad place. It's a lot of families that live here. A lot of growth and development going on right. You can find many major retail stores, grocery, coffee shops, and more on garth road. Many new community homes are being built in the area of Garth Road and Wallisville Rd. There's a very nice Big Buceess right off the I-10. A new Shopping Mall is currently being developed off the I-10 and Garth Road which is going to increase property value. I didn't smell any bad chemicals while I was there for two weeks. There are 2 water parks there and also a nice artsy downtown art district area. It's a nice town 25 minutes from downtown Houston. Beach city is not far and you can go out fishing. There are even nice restaurants on the water with amazing views of the bay. This video wasn't a good video for Baytown. There's a whole lot more than what you guys showed here.

My friend Rocky and I used to go to the old town, climb on top of the buildings and smoke pot while watching the cars go by. We climbed up a drain pipe on the back of the very old building and hang out behind the facade on top of the building. I haven’t been down that road in years so I don’t know if the buildings are still there. I believe it was the center of the town at one time. We used to go to a lot of cool places and get high. I dropped acid for the first time at Milby Park on the corner of 225 & 610. That park was always filled with people laying around and getting high. I took 1/2 of a sugar cube and after 45 minutes I didn’t feel anything so I took the other half. That was about 2 in the afternoon. I got so high on acid I couldn’t leave. Rocky and I stayed there until 1 or 2am. No one else was in the park. I remember walking out of the park. It was totally dark. No moon, no lights. But when I walked under the trees the veins in the leaves illuminated. It was such an amazing sight. Acid really does expand the mind. I’ll never forget how incredible the visions were.

Have lived in Baytown since 2014 and its surrounding areas for my whole life. Baytown has exploded in population and development in the past years. There are many things to do including the mall (original San Jacinto mall demolished and a new mall is being built in its place), Pirates Bay waterpark (amazing, everyone loves it), Showbiz theater, San Jacinto monument and battleground (does not get the recognition it deserves by the country), Lynchburg ferry, tons and tons of shopping centers and many types of foods to ranging from street vendors and taco trucks to all different types of foods like Chinese, vietanmese, Mexican, german, Italian, creole, everything. There are so many small businesses in Baytown, especially in the older part (past 146) but it also has an equal amount of franchises and larger businesses. We also have everything within a drive including the Methadist Hospital and a shit ton of different doctor offices. We have our own PD and FDs. Mailing services, libraries, a Lee community college, parks, anything you name it. The drive to Downtown Houston can depends on the time of day. Houston traffic is notoriously unpredictable. It could take you an easy 20minutes or it could take you and hour and 30 minutes. Just depends. This was a very unorganized and just thought dump. If you guys would like I could do a more organized explanation but all I can say is that Baytown is exploding in development. However,Baytown is literally built on refiners and chemical plants. Yes- you're more than likely to smell those chemical plants when close enough (especially exxon chemical plant off 146), however for the most part those refiners are away from the general population. That is the only huge downside to baytown. TO ANYONE WHO VISITS BAYTOWN, EXPLORE GARTH ROAD AND THE SAN JACINTO BATTLEGROUND.

I disagree.. Baytown has exploded in population and it has developed so much in the past few years. Within the next decade it will probably be comparable to Sugar Land or Woodlands in terms of developed land.

@@okn8t there is no way that Baytown will be anything like The Woodlands. For one Woodland's air quality is much better not to mention the forest scenery.
