Just Awesome!! This movie will Introduce Elvis to a whole new audience. Amazing how Elvis thought he would not be remembered. Not a day has gone by since he started his career in 1954 has he not been remembered. He was truly a gift from God. Elvis has millions and millions of fans still today. This trailer also shows so much interest of Elvis, there were 16 million views in the first couple days of it being released on February 17th, and still counting! Totally Amazing!! Elvis is still taking care of business. I trust Baz Lurhmann will give us a Terrific! movie. He will be respectful towards Elvis. I will be seeing this film numerous times. Thanks for your reaction and thoughts. Take Care! and God Bless!

When they start playing the song unchained melody it brings me to tears because that is the last song Elvis sang on stage in his last concert and this man gave everything he had till the very end and I love that they are playing it in this trailer
@garryconway1723
@garryconway1723 2 жыл бұрын
Actually he didn't sing that at his last concert and he never closed any show with it. CBS filmed two concerts in the middle of his last tour, one included "Unchained Melody" with Elvis at the piano, but incorrect video captions on You Tube over the years have made people think that's the last song he sang at his last concert. It isn't, that would be his usual closer "Can't Help Falling In Love." He did sing "Unchained Melody" at the piano at home the morning of his death though.

Baz Lehurman is an excellent producer he produced the movie Moulin Rouge ( in France ) Elvis sang Gospel Music. He was not a racist. He just abused pils but underneath was a very good person. The cinematography is the style of Baz Lurhman which creates an atmosphere in the movie. This is going to be great and the actor totally has the moves!!

Elvis was devastated when ML King was killed in Memphis. He was filming the movie «Live a little, love a little», when the news broke. His co-star, Celeste Yarnall, said that she and Elvis watched the funeral live on TV, with Elvis standing up, singing «Amazing Grace», and crying hard. Two months later, Robert Kennedy, brother of JFK, suffered the same fate as Dr. King. These two tragedies shook Elvis to the core.

If that is true that is amazing, hope it is true however, it seems high to me. I hope this movie does well at the box office I really do. I would love to see the younger generation realise what this man did for music. I would also like to see the music industry really acknowledged this great man. To make amends for not acknowledging Elvis double A sided singles and state they were wrong Billboard, for the Grammies to acknowledge, they were incorrect in not giving Elvis one Grammy for his Rock'N'Roll music. For the people across the three fields of intertaintment to acknowledge the shameful lack of respect to a man who never saw colour in a person, was not racist and did more than any other white person in the industry to try and bridge the gap between black and white. Also to Sonny/RCA Elvis record company to acknowledge that they treated Elvis in a shameful way. When with the help of that arsehole parker ripped off Elvis in buying Elvis complete music from when he started to 1973 paid only 5 million what a fucking joke. That you have never tried to keep Elvis relevant in the music field since his unfortunate passing on the 16 th August 1977. Sorry just got carried away just day dreaming, that would unfortunately never happen

I wasn't a big Elvis fan. When rumours stated to circulate in the 80s and 90s from some rap stars that he was a racist. I didn't get angry, But I felt really hurt that he could be that way. It wasn't till I saw a documentry on him and listen to the black people that actually new him, that Irealised it was bullshit. Even saw one of those old rappers admit he was wrong about Elvis.
@seamuslannon6972
@seamuslannon6972 2 жыл бұрын
I am not having a go at you, and it's nice of you to acknowledge that you were told some untruths about Elvis. But you see this thing concerning Elvis and been racist comes way before you were never born. You seem like you are young to me, and of course you have found your own style of music you like. However, there are a lot of racist in this world unfortunately and they come in all colours black/ white/ or light brown. Just remember very culture as it's group of bullies and want to spread hate it makes them feel good. Now when Elvis first started out he just sang songs he loved mainly Ballard's/ country ( sometimes called blue grass etc. The owner of Sun records was looking for a white person who could feel the soul of the black music. Elvis was that person, Elvis was born in a place called Tupelo Mississippi a Southern State that used to treat the colour community very badly especially someone called Jim Crow. Now you must understand other black communities around the USA heard of the way a lot of the way white people treated the black communities in Tupelo Mississippi. So when Elvis first came out people thought the was black because he sounded black. But as time went on some black people started to hate Elvis, because he was good looking and had the soul of the black music. That should not have been a surprise as he was brought up with gospel music both black and white. Look I am not telling my story well if you wish to know more about Elvis check out Elvis and the black community the echo will never die and look up a man called Mr Sam Bell. Mr Sam Bell was a close friend of Elvis while Elvis was living in Tupelo Mississippi and knew Elvis before he became famous. I highly recommend you start your Elvis discovery there then watch Elvis and the black community the echo will never die. Then if you're willing to go and see the new Elvis movie and see it all fall into place. Now expect a backlash from the racist rappers because your going to see a white man who stole the black music and is straight out racist. You may be called names, that your going to see a white man but do not let them bother you. Because you will realise they are talking shite. You have a rapper who's life is similar to that of Elvis, and of course you know his name Eminem, a white guy who just happens to be better than most of the black rappers. Eminem as always acknowledged the greats of your music field as never once stated he was the greatest rapper to my knowledge. But just like Elvis opening the doors for the great black performers of his day. Eminem open the doors for the great black rappers of his day. Like in Elvis day Eminem is hated by both black and white racist. If you go the movie go with an open mind that's my only advice I can give you. From an Elvis fan for over 55 years.

Elvis loved black culture and had many, many black artist friends who all say Elvis was a wonderful human being. Elvis and Black Culture is very well documented. There are hundreds of testimonies from black people who met Elvis, and they all say that Elvis loved black culture.

I'm a hip hop fan but what the hell would black rappers know, they only hear Chinese whispers. Elvis grew up in the south and he had a lot of black friends growing up. Baz Luhrmann did a lot of research into Elvis early days, his best friend growing up was black. Elvis put black music on the map during the years of discrimination and segregation. Many black performers of the 50s loved him and respected him. Little Richard, BB King, Chuck Berry, Sammy Davis Jnr, had nothing bad to say about Elvis but love and respect. Elvis was heavily influenced by the black churches in the 50s, something he never lost till the day he died

Love Tom Hanks, and Dacre (pronounced "Daker") Montgomery ("Steve Binder" in this, but usually in Stranger Things), and Helen Thomson ("Gladys Presley", but I still think of her as the woman who played the reporter in Kangaroo Jack; she's also in the tv series "Doctor Doctor": or "The Heart Guy"). I'll just get that out of the way, Baz is pronounced "Bazz", and yes "Lermin" is the correct pronunciation. Baz Luhrmann's also the one who directed the Leonardo DiCaprio "Romeo & Juliet" (one of the 'few' good versions of that story), the remake (with DiCaprio) of "The Great Gatsby" (original "The Great Gatsby" arrived in 1974, Luhrmann is only 'slightly' better; that second comment tells you obviously I've seen the original), "Australia", ... just some very excellent content. So the man knows his stuff. But actually, I've been a big Austin Butler (playing Elvis) fan for years. (He actually had 2 years of training for this role, but I was aware he could genuinely 'sing' before this role; and makes singing as someone else easier because impressions and voice acting are musical skills - I do a bit of it myself). He's phenomenal in everything he's in. His performances as a teenager were flawless even: (I like him in Tons of Disney, and Viacom - including Paramount and Nickelodeon - stuff; both tv shows and movies). Butler's Elvis impression is also excellent. So different from his real voice - coming from someone who obviously knows what his real voice sounds like, so I was impressed when I saw the trailer. (how it actually sounded rather than the Johnny Bravo - old cartoon - impression that everyone tries). Some of the singing's Austin as well, but there are also some Elvis voice tracks in there. Even with Butler getting his 2 years of specialized vocal training for this role and his mannerism training, I'm still impressed with how he carried himself. It'll be cool to see someone who could outshine Hanks in a Hanks film, because the only other person to do that was Matthew Rhys who played "Lloyd" Vogel in "A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood" which is one of the best Tom Hanks films out there. 2 things of Austin Butler's you might have seen: If you're a DC series fan, he played "Chase" in Arrow and is in a few other DC shows. - He also played villainous cowboy "Tex" Watson in Quentin Tarantino's "Once Upon A Time In... Hollywood".

When I hear someone saying that, I remind him that if he did, then every black entertainer stole the guitar , piano organ etc because whites created those onstruments. I hope they see the absurdity of the stole music comments by illustrating this example. Also, I hope Baz shows that Elvis was very ill. Sally Hoedels researched Elvis,' medical records and after a 3 yr deep research she wrote her book Destined to Die Young. Elvis died from valsalvar maneuver leading to heart attack. He used many prescribed meds to treat 9 medical disorders. Fans need to stop believing garbage rehashed over and over and learn the truth.Elvis said his fans would believe him, a very honest man.Infortunately, many believe propaganda

I’m glad you recognize the colonel wasn’t good for him. Yes they say Austin got his mannerisiums down etc. that the good part. I won’t pay to see it. I’m still put out by them making him look like a sexual and court defying villain up to his army days. What they did to his Memphis concert just prior to the army was dispicable to me. I’ll watch it if it’s free on any stream TV.

They made him look like a depraved sexual manic in the Memphis concert b4 he went in the army. . It didn’t happen like that.. Look up what was truth and not. They added things together that wasn’t him. The song I’m evil was from a movie script. He never defied the law. Just due to this in the trailer I won’t watch it. The colonial really did him wrong. He never defied him till much later on, and it wasn’t public. Elvis was always respectful. Yes the music was good but they did him wrong in the movie in my respect. I was 21 when he died. My mom was into him and even at a very young age he captured me with his voice.
