This was awesome. B.B King is a great blues guitarist. I saw him live in 2006. May he rest in peace. Cheers! ✌️🎸

I was very fortunate to see Mr. King perform in later 2010, at Casino Rama in Ontario. He also autographed a brand new Epiphone "Lucille" guitar for me. I still have it, of course, but don't dare play it. It may still have some of his DNA on it! RIP, Mr. King, and thank you for your music. Thank you, Guitar Show, for this video!

Anytime somebody's asked me who my favorite guitar player is I think to myself "that's such an impossible question" and then eventually I remember it's B.B. King

BB got the babes and the guitars. He seemed down to earth too. He only had to play one note to bring the house down. He is a USA treasure and the whole world.

My little brother, Brody, was gifted a prototype “Little Lucile” from the man himself in the early 90s, at that time Brody was playing BB’s in Memphis a lot

RIP to the King of the Blues, great video as always. I know that I've been asking this a lot but I've still love to see a video on Daron Malakian from System of a Down, Kirk Hammett/James Hetfield, Joe Perry, Mark Tremonti, Billy Gibbons, Freddie King, Jack White, Ace Frehley or Paul Stanley

Hard to really quantify just how influential BB’s phrasing was. He took a rudimentary music style and packaged it into something people could really feel and connect with. By all accounts an absolute sweetheart of a man too.

Yeh and without a truss rod so clearly a very early (Broadcaster?) model.

Everyone knows that BB was as crucial for guitar playing as Charlie Christian, Robert Johnson, or Hendrix. But he was also a heck of a pianist, too ! But hardly ever recorded with it, sadly. And don’t forget his massive vocal power ! Watch him singing in the Congo, ‘Rumble in the Jungle’,..standing w e l l back from the mic !…

Fantastic video Ramon! I have a request for you. I’m not sure if you’re a fan of Jeff Buckley, but his album Grace is about to turn 30 years old in August! I would love to see you do a video on the history of his guitars since he lived such a short life but had quite an interesting collection…

@@TheGuitarShow but, you killed it on this video Ramon! BB had a bunch of other guitars I never knew about. Apart from the normal Lucille and 335-styles I knew about the ES-5, the Esquire, the ES-330 as well as the archtop Gibson he electrified that was stolen but everything else was a revelation. Thank you for all the fantastic research and work you do!

Those 52 and 53 goldtops were junk. You can tell Gibson was shitting themselves to get something out quick to respond to Fender. But it obviously wasn’t R&D(ed).Interestingly one of the (probably the) original guy that put Strats on the map Buddy Holly originally bought a 52 goldtop and returned it for the Strat. The goldtop is in a museum somewhere in TX

Junk is an exaggeration. The neck angle wasn't correct and the tailpiece/bridge combo wasn't done correctly. The rest of the guitar is still an early Gibson Les Paul.

@@larryn2682 mate it doesn’t have a truss rod. Most necks bowed in the 50’s. If you can find one that’s not junk lemme know
