This may be a little off topic, but the best blues guitar lick ever recorded is by the late guitarist Paul Barrere of Little Feat in the song Old Folks Boogie on Little Feat's Time Loves a Hero album.

Are you sure he used a Tremolux? Looks like a Bassman or a Bandmaster to me. The 2x12 cab was Bandmaster/Bassman. Also, the Sunn Coliseum was a master volume type amp. You could over drive the output stage just like any "modern" lead style amp. They are what Leslie West used in the early Mountain days, and what's on their first album with Mississippi Queen. Nice video tho, thax.

Great concise video Ramon.. I’m no guitar player, I’m more piano but I’ve always wanted to get something going on guitar. The only thing I’m any good at is fingerpicking so I was very attracted to this style. I’ve given it a go and it seems to work for me! However, the Electric strings I have seem a bit too light for this style. What gauge would you recommend? Wound/unwound? many thanks, Steve

Prior to the Then Play On LP, Danny played on & was featured on the American release, English Rose. I understand that it was probably a compilation LP of various tracks put out by Epic. Why no comment on those tracks? You make it sound as if Danny made no prior recording contributions to the early Mac.

Just wish will be clearer and not as fast with the grooves, with somewhat of indications of your left hand (and right sometimes) this is great help but way too fast and I find myself slowing it down all the the time. For example, 5:47 you finally gave something slow to really get down into it, but the downstroke is muted and it is unclear how or why, when I downstroke it gives unmuted sound...

Mick Taylor brought that Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck Joe Perry, Clapton guitar front man solo vibe to the group. This completely changed the musical direction from the Brian Jones era. Unfortunately, Keith viewed that as his role, and Taylor's by invitation only, despite Mick's obviously superior virtuosity on the instrument. One can always opine and debate which lineup of any group constitutes the greatest, givien the constantly changing genres of music. However, the question of whose vision and founding of the "Greatest Rock And Roll Band In The World" their legacy rests upon can be answered inarguably... Brian Jones.

I agree on the Yamahas. "Europa" - the one word answer to guitar tone. I believe the signature PRS's he played had SOLID Brazilian rosewood necks. He has largely abandoned his signature PRS's and gone to the single cutaways because he feels they stay in tune better. I'm sure he has a nice one.

Some people lost it due to LSD. Thankfully, that didnt happen to more, it certainly could have.We learned these situations at the Speakeasy, a club for rock stars only.Look around the room. Jeff Beck, Elton John. America was playing at the venue.I was 22, in London with guys on my records at home. Now 72, gratefull to be alive. Thank you, everyone!

I saw your Coodercaster video with Henry Kaiser. Have you tried the Lollar Chicago Steel pickup? I noticed Henry had one on his Coodercaster it's a lap steel pickup but lacks the the metal cover. I wondered what tour thoughts are on it. The few demoes I've heard it has more of that vintage grit compared to the Mojo version.
