This amazing concert brings together some of the true pioneers of rock 'n' roll music including Bo Diddley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, James Brown, Fats Domino and B.B.King. Recorded in Italy in 1989 it features these legendary artists in performance of their best loved tracks such as Papa's Got A Brand New Bag, Bo Diddley, Great Balls Of Fire, Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On and Blueberry Hill. At the end of the concert all the performers come together for all-star jam that leaves the audience hollering for more. It's a rare event indeed that brings so many great live performers together on one bill and this DVD captures the real excitement of the evening.

I am 66 yrs. of age and I have listened to BB King for most of those years and have always found his music to be the finest blues there is and ever was. When I was 16 and playing the Beatles and Stones he still was an influence in my style of playing. One has to love Mr. King.

It's also the lead in for the All-Star jam at the end of the concert. If you haven't listened to that one, you've really missed something. There's a short and long version on KZbin. The long one is raw and great, but the short one has the vocals cleaned up. The short one clearly shows how the stars picked up where B.B. left off. I've listened to both hundreds of times, and they never get old. Don't miss it!

Ok, yeah, It was written [or composed, if you wish] by an unknown New Orleans R/B artist called Sam Theard, then popularised by the 1940's great jump-boogie jazzy singer Louis Jourdan..... Ray Charles obviously came later on and covered it, as did many other artistes...... but I still reckon that BB King's cover version is up there with the very best....
