Yedda Marie Mendoza looked divine and gave an excellent answer showing her eloquence and confidence. She should have been sent to Miss Universe, Eileen Damiles to Miss World, Daisy Reyes to Miss International. Sonia Santiago, Ana Marie Craig, Kathleen Hipolito, and Estrella Ramos should have joined again especially in 1998 when there was a weak batch!

The host is at the same time the guest singer which is quite a monumental task. And his suit style is now the fashion.! Those are unique crowns and scepters! Why the best is long gown award when almost everyone is wearing the same color, design, fabric. They could have provided a much better bouquet of flowers since the country has so many varieties of beautiful sweet fragrant colorful flowers.! Congrats to the 5!!!

International should have been given to Damiles bec. it requires looks more than wits. Only Yedda placed in this batch in Ms.Int'l. E-Damiles was Ms.Photogenic in Ms.U and Daisy was Ms.Friendship in Ms. World. You can see how good the candidates today are compared to the past decades. Lmalamon ng mic now mga girls. Daisy already competed in International Pageant prior to Bb. Pilipinas 1996. As Mutya ng Pilipinas 1995 2nd r-up, she represented the Philippines at the 1995 Miss Expo International in Ecuador and emerged as 4th r-up. FYI.

The year 1996 marks the first time that Rodgil Flores scored a victory at Bb. Pilipinas through Candidate #36 Sonia Santiago who won as 2nd r-up, a year prior,, he fielded Esabela Cabrera who at 15 yrs, old won the Miss Photogenic Award in Bb. Pilipinas 1995. Rodgil then was ably assisted by few friends based in Pateros and was just starting fielding candidates for Binibini, I was very privileged to be one of his early pageant friends way back then.
