There were about 10 of us in the band that had to leave at half time to play at our first scheduled concert of the year in Elliot Hall. We went to the game in our tuxedos and dresses and still cheered and played our hearts out. I seriously thought about skipping the concert and taking an F in the course to stay for the second half. The way Smooge was playing though, I knew they were going to get the W, especially after that circus layup at the basket right in front of us against David Lighty. Great memories, thanks for making this video and thanks for all the fans at Mackey whom loose their minds over great Purdue Basketball. Everyone standing out of their seats, cheering and celebrating with their section neighbors is what makes Mackey Special. Happy 50th Mackey, may the next 50 see some National Championship banners added to the rafters.

this was during my junior year, it was hands down the best game I went to in my four years there! The atmosphere that afternoon leading up to the game was electric. I thought the MSU game a few weeks before was the best and this blew it out of the water.

Wow. I love how I can see every angle of this in my mind from my nosebleed seats. Bar none the greatest Purdue game in a generation, my ears rang for hours after leaving Mackey! Let it be said too, no matter what happens Purdue is always the underdog you'll always have to be scared of! Boiler the F UP!

Easily the most memorable basketball experience of my life. I attended this game and knew their was something very special about this team. Future Purdue players have a lot to live up to.

this was one of my favorite games to watch as an OSU fan i bandwagoned the boilermakers so hard for a couple years when etwaun and jajuan played on the team i didnt even know who to cheer for in this game lol unfortunate OSUs season had to end to kentucky but 2011 was definitely a great year for the B1G

@gentlemenRick Simple, Purdue didn't bother to show up to Chicago and VCU had something to prove and came out fighting from the start. Simply put, VCU was the better team and proved it with their run to the Final Four.

@2013Boilermaker no joke lol they kick ass, i was very impressed with them throughout the tournament. BTW Purdue has some big shoes to fill next year, Jajuan johnson and E'twuan Moore gone.
