I used ragna when I first started playing blazblue then i went over to Hakumen an intermediate character for a now blazblue veteran such as myself because i beat all 4 main games story modes and beat both parts of bbtag's episode mode

I dunno, Ragna seems more wish fulfilment for the general audience than Sol. I mean, white hair, heterochromia, half-vampire, demon, giant slab-of-metal greatsword that turns into a scythe, and an expanding harem of girls. I still think he's cool, and Sol is totally Daisuke's wish fulfilment character, but I doubt he is to anyone else.
