After Carlson moved the pawn from A3 to A2 I thought for sure Olsvik was going to move his pawn on D4 to D5 for Check. I think it would have given him a better chance to turn the game around. Sure King would probably move up from C6 to C5 but now Olsvik can take the Pawn with his Knight on C3 to A2 forcing Carlson to move his Bishop on B4. Then white pawn on E3 can move up to E4 protecting whites pawn on D5 and we're back to an interesting game. :)

You can easily take the e4 pawn with f5 pawn...

Good game from jobava
@danieleormella62813 жыл бұрын
Not too good, imho. Jobava placed his pawns on tha black squares after playing BxNf6, a blunder of strategy in endgame.
@zelandakhniteblade54363 жыл бұрын
@@danieleormella6281 After 14. d4, they got into a known position from the Trompowsky. The main line there is 15. b5 with a position that is regarded as promising for white. The problem was not the dark-squared pawn chain so much as over-preparing this pawn break.

When white plays b3 in the opening it seems like carlsen was little bit unprepared of that variations
