Collection of clips with Mike's 440 Coronet. It's got aluminum heads & intake, Quickfuel carb, a big solid flat tappet cam, & a good stall to go with it. For a giant car it sure rides out.

Absolutely gorgeous car. I like the Steel wheels better than the modern ones personally. Awesome car.

Thank you. Congratulations, you have such a nice car. I have a 1973 Chrysler Imperial with a recently rebuilt engine, 9.8 CR, but a street hydraulic cam. I am planning to have a 3.73 final ratio as well. The car is heavier, but I think it will work.

He had some sort of 1-3/4" long tubes with a universal X-pipe from Summit and Flowmaster Super 44s. As I explained to parananna, 362 hp at tires is approx 450hp at the crankshaft assuming a 20% drivetrain loss for an automatic. It could be closer to 25% (~480bhp) since it had a high stall converter. In my opinion, 1hp per cubic inch is nothing to sneeze at, especially considering it was all solid flat tappet and factory rockers and no fine tuning done on the carb. Thanks for the comments!

It's like beautiful music. Too bad MoPars are so ridiculously expensive. Would love to have one 1 Pontiac, 1 Oldsmobile, 1 MoPar, 1 Buick all between 1967-72. I would be a happy happy man.

@Edie Calzolari The car made 362 at the wheels through an auto with an aggressive converter. The stock rating was measured on an engine dyno, not a chassis dyno so no drivetrain losses in that figure. This car was just a hair slower than my car from a dig and even from a roll. It was quick for a giant boat. It's somewhere in South Africa now.

What exhaust is he running? I have a 68 R/T 440 4 speed coronet. I really like the sound of this one. And as Parananna said why is it only 362 hp with all the mods? Stock it should be putting out 375 maybe not at the wheels but surely after putting some aluminum heads on it, it should be well over the 400 hp mark...

very sick car..what kinda of lift and duration is that cam?? ITS MOPAR OR NO CAR!!!

Nice car. You just didn't mention if you just dyno the engine or if you tune it. The numbers are respectable, but a wide band tuning may worth a couple of horses. The car seems to move. What is the final ratio?
@Forker4510 жыл бұрын
The car had a wideband on it for the dyno. You can see it clipped in the drivers side tail pipe. My buddy who owned the car was only wanting to make sure it had a safe A/F and get some numbers. He was happy with it and you can see it moves great for a big car. I think it had 3.73 or something close, whatever the Mopar ratio is.

beautiful. those dynos scare me. don't know if it's a great idea to red line a screamin engine in neutral ...
@Forker458 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure you're familiar with a chassis dyno, but It's not in neutral. I think all his pulls were 2nd gear.

why with all the mods you have, it develop only 362 hp???? stock it should has 375 or i'm wrong...

do u know how whp works idiot
@jeffreybrianring6392 Жыл бұрын
@@leniceredmon1112 375 hp is at the crankshaft, 362 is at the rear wheels, so giving 20 percent loss from drivetrain, it's around 475 at the crankshaft.
