Why NBA players has more low shooting percentage in an NBA game? Is it because of presence of people?

defense, crowds, and nerves all play a roll... players like Matt Thomas of the Raptors is nicknamed Mr 99% ... because when he played in Europe he shot 99% from 3 when left open. ... It will be interesting to see him rip it up this year in the playoffs

the one around the FT line is for jump and the one around the basket the name is escaping me right now (maybe restricted area) but its a spot used in the NBA and I think FIBA has maybe adopted it. Its an area where the defensive player cannot touch the offensive player, creates automatic foul. For example you cant take a charge in that location

NCAA/FIBA/Canada University is 22 feet, 1¾ inches and Canada/USA High school is 20 feet 9 inches NBA is 23 Feet 9 Inches ... all from center of basket
