I like the look of it. Sometimes it actually can look better to have parts with a different finish and the grey does look good in this case. Glad to see an easy straightforward job after all the electrical misery you went through :)

🤣 yeah ive warmed to the grey now! The electrics were number one misery road!

Hey mate were you able to move the brake lever closer to the handlebar then the stock lever? I have short fingers and I'm thinking of getting these if they do allow the lever to be much closer. Cheers

Yes they work a treat 👍

thoroughly enjoyed the xv250 build, as a result I picked up some 17t and am considering a 42t or 40t sprocket. was wondering if you had any thoughts on the 42t in comparison to the 40t? addicted to your build videos so now i'm enjoying the man work on his xvs650 :^)
@iRidetas3 жыл бұрын
If its hilly where you live go 42, flat 40 imo! Cheers for the kind words!

Great video ! Got the same bike, and I find the contact point of the clutch very unpleasant. Way too far, making it hard to start and stop a lot in dense traffic. Been looking for a fix, this seems to work so far. Do you have any link to buy those ? Can't find this exact reference...
@iRidetas3 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate! You just need to type xvs650 levers into Ebay.

I have been looking at doing this swap to help me have better control. Whats the 3 months verdict, have you had any issues? did your break or clutch cables fray/snap? have you clurch or front brake system failed? You did mentioned to steer on the side of caution when it came to the break at the end of the video. Before I saw your video I saw another one where the break cable failed on a set up that used these chinese ebay/amazon levers.

@@iRidetas thats good to hear. Please do a 6 months update if you get the chance. Do you ride this bike frequently or is it still a project you are working on?
@iRidetas3 жыл бұрын
Several times a week. There isnt enough in a 6 month update on the levers sorry mate to do a vid on it!
@TheBIGBEAR7382 жыл бұрын
does this help improve friction zone in any way?
@iRidetas2 жыл бұрын
I talk about that in the video! By moving the lever in you can better control the bite point for the size of your hand
@TheBIGBEAR7382 жыл бұрын
my apologies I thought that meant the reach of the lever. language barrier 😂
