I'm a fan of wrapped pipes on certain bikes & Steve falls into that category for me. If people are worried that their exhaust will deteriorate when wrapped why not paint it first to seal it? Nice job m8 : )

Cheers! I dont love it on sport bikes but cruisers and retros for sure! Yup could ceramic coat it or the likes absolutely. Hope your well!

That's exactly how I done and still some yoke needed to comment about rust - funny though that those comments come from people who put out zero content themselves - armchair mechanics I call them :P

Yeah ive had people email, DM etc all hot under the collar, when i did Doug. Funny what can trigger people 🤷♂️😃

Nice one! Good tip about starting at the back! You wouldn't be surprised to know I got a nasty comment as well when I wrapped Badger lol. Piggy has wraps as well just because I like the utilitarian look of it. Also spreading on a coat of heat resistant coating before applying the wrap helps. When you store the bike in a dry place, even after a ride in the rain, the heat will dry it up and it will stay dry. I did take the pipes of when I wrapped mine, was a bit easier to do, but hey, whatever works, works. Thanks for the vid, that tip from starting at the back is something I had not figured!

Haha that doesnt suprise me at all!!! I might try heat resistant coating next time and see the difference, thank you for the tip! I do keep my bikes in the shed for sure. Hope your traveling well mate 😃 always good to hear from you!

Im right with ya mate, think wrap is cool. Had singlevwall exhaust on my ironhead and couldnt get near it without been burned. 😀👍

Huge fan of wrapped pipes. Not so much of a fan of the work needed to wrap them though. it's a ball-ache of a job on a car and I thought it would be easier on a motorcycle. Agree starting from back to front is a good tip. Bike looks a shed load better with it done.

Yeah I have, but you can alter the over lap a bit to help string it out further!

As you said, to each his own but have to say I love the look. Did you have much tape left over and is it worth keeping after it has been soaked?
@iRidetas3 жыл бұрын
Nah had about 1m left can dry it out but wasnt enough left to worry about this time! Cheers

I like the wrapped pipes, I'm quite keen to do it once I'm off my 125cc onto a bigger bike. Do the wraps need replaced or changed once on?
@iRidetas3 жыл бұрын
Nah usually last ages, will fade over time, the stuff on my 1100 been on for four years
