Radio broadcasts, including BBC Choral Evensong's, are donated from many and varied sources - very often from people who have recorded from the radio onto reel-to-reel or cassette tape. For many and various reasons, these recordings are often edited when they arrive with us, usually the lessons, prayers and often organ music. This was done to save tape or to fit a broadcast onto one side of a cassette tape. Our policy is to upload broadcasts of quality and interest whether fully complete or not as we are sure our listeners would rather have a small part missing than not upload at all. The Archive itself does not edit out any parts of recordings.
