BBC News 2008 Countdown Music Used to mark the 25th Anniversary of David Lowe's Music on BBC News

Sadly, they didn’t manage to air the full version of the 2008 countdown, which includes a remix of the 1999 countdown at the start. I guess the distinctive feature of this countdown is that it has backbeat snares from 0:28, making it sound like the drumbeats of the regional news titles from 2008. The 2010 countdown has a similar drumbeat but the snares are softer. IMO, this drumbeat kinda made the countdown sound more dramatic towards the end. This countdown is also adapted from the 2006 countdown. I kinda wished they preserved the funky synths from the 2006 countdown for this countdown too. Maybe, they could have added an ident at the end of the countdown since that’s a feature of the 2008 countdown 😂

Edit: upon listening to the 2008 countdown on my bluetooth speakers, I noticed that from 0:01 to 0:12, the funky synth which was heard at this part in the 2006 countdown was preserved, but it seems more subtle than in the 2006 countdown
