It would take a rather serious crime in the northern Europe to arrest the guy. Many organizations and companies do act swiftly though, which I generally find unfair. On this case I don't really mind to be honest, since he clearly showed he has no respect towards others, with the stunt in the press conference & didn't give a crap about the extremely clear rule, about political stunts during the competition. Song was nice though. But Joost himself is really the only reason, why we aren't going to hear it tonight.

An incident occurred after last Thursday's performance. Against clearly agreed agreements Joost was filmed when he just came off stage and had to rush to the greenroom. At that moment, Joost repeatedly indicated that he did not want to be filmed," the broadcaster writes. 'That was not heeded. This led to a threatening movement from Joost towards the camera. Joost did not touch the camera woman.' According to Avrotros, a report was subsequently made, followed by an investigation. Was she the one while the EBU had already agreed that no one would be filmed after their performance for privacy reasons. In a later video (backstage) this happened again at Joost Klein by a male cameraman (He Joost why where u not on the stage) and again in the heavily secured hotel where no press is allowed inside by a lady with a camera Swedish reporter (before he gets into the elevator). A Swedish photographer was filming him, which he did not want. He set his boundaries multiple times and kept telling her that he did not want to be filmed. After a while he made a ‘threatening gesture’, which was allegedly him pushing the camera downwards, so he did not hit nor touch her. This led to her reporting him.

What has israel team done during eurovision to make things political? If anyone has made things political, it's the protestors

@@eeneentwee I am a 28 year old, married, stay at home mum of 3, without any piercings or died hair. What I stated was just a fact, not my opinion on the war or Israeli entry. Eden Golan has a wonderful voice, one of the best in my opinion but, the majority of people voting for her decided to do so before they even heard her song. They voted for her to show their support for Israel in the war and to stop anti-semitism. People who support palestine are boycotting the competition and many are voting for a country that isn't their true favourite just to make sure Israel doesn't win. There is no true fairness in the competition this year. There are mass protests and major security. This is because the competition is inherently political this year. Eden is brave to perform on a stage with so much booing and hatred thrown her way, especially in a city wih such a high middle eastern population. Even with the high security I do get nervous for everyone at the final. I do believe Israel should not compete because it compleatley distracts from the contest. This year the ESC is madness. The netherlands have been disqualified. No one is focusing on the music and everyone is focusing on the drama and politics.

The statement from Dutch broadcaster AvroTros made on 11 May about the incident concerning participant Joost Klein: 'An incident occurred after last Thursday's performance. Against clear agreements, Joost was filmed when he had just gotten off stage and had to rush to the greenroom. At that moment, Joost repeatedly indicated that he did not want to be filmed. This was not heeded. This led to a threatening movement from Joost towards the camera. Joost did not touch the camera woman. This incident was reported, followed by an investigation by the EBU and police. Yesterday and today we consulted extensively with the EBU and proposed various solutions. Nevertheless, the EBU has decided to disqualify Joost Klein. AvroTros finds the measure very heavy and disproportionate. We stand for good manners, let there be no misunderstanding about that, but in our view an exclusion measure is disproportionate to this incident. We are very disappointed and upset, also for all the millions of fans who were so excited for tonight. What Joost brought to the Netherlands and Europe should not have ended this way.'
