they are sooooo me, Black British people were starting to get a sense of pride in their own identity at this point and not just copying Black Americans. As a band their music together and influences were perfection, still beautiful.

@Pirate7X Went to MA's concert at First Avenue in Minneapolis in 1999! The club was full and it was a blast. I think they have always had followers here, but no airplay in the old days of FM and absolutely lousy MTV US!
