Like Zappa, most people aren't understanding his music mainly because he is constantly changing style and experimenting. However, watching this I get the sense he got upset with the ending and took it out on the drummer who for one was position wrong and lost eye contact. Jack likes control and often signals with his guitar neck. Look as he exits the stage leaving his guitar on feedback. It is what it is, cant win em all. I love the guys venturous nature and creativity. The most interesting artist in my opinion. Hope he has another break out soon.
@zeinac28599 жыл бұрын
wow, never noticed that till now. Daru Jones is an amazing drummer, but I guess Jack didn't like how he kept going with the ending. you can see Jack yell at him right before it cuts away from his face at around 4:16. he was ready to end that note and he wasn't getting it lmao. that's why the violinist with the long hair was making that face. the lady backstage was in shock too. watched this dozens of times and hair noticed this all now from your comment.

Noone seems to understand that White's playing is not about technique, skills or sounding good at all. It's about the roughness that he has on his fingers the moment he is playing. He is by no means acknowledged for his guitar skills or his voice but for his raw performances and the vibe he gives out.
@nicolasreza372310 жыл бұрын
Jack White is in the top 20 (landing in 14) best Blues guitar players of all time according to musicradar and is #70 in Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Guitarists. I agree with the rawness in his music and his vibe, I saw him last week and blew my mind. But yeah, he is pretty acknowledged for his guitar skills.

People who are complaining about him being hammered/stuff being out of tune are clearly unfamiliar with The White Stripes. This fucker played different notes on the piano for Icky Thump in almost every song and to the normal ear, they sounded absolutely horrible. But this is exactly what I love about Jack White, he's different from other rock acts because his shit is just a messy combination of awesome guitar solos and I-really-don't-give-a-fuck vocals.

Jack has a thing about people bringing cell phones to concerts. He asks that people don't do it, and this crowd obviously respected that.

+Jessica Ann I don't blame him. Kudos to the crowd for respecting his request.
@beckjessica999 жыл бұрын
+rodentcafeteria yes he has stated in several interviews that a concert requires group participation. He feeds off the crowds energy so if they are just standing around with cell phones like androids he doesn't know how to perceive that or how to work with that! And that makes perfect sense.
@rodentcafeteria9 жыл бұрын
+Jessica Ann I'm old school, so it makes perfect sense to me, too. But try telling that to the thousands and thousands of androids that attend concerts these days. I wonder why they even bother going?

I love negative comments on these threads from unknown guitarists who have never put out cool records and wipe down their guitars with guitar polish after every use and put their vintage Guitar Player Magazines in plastic. Nor have they ever been to the South to find the source of rock and roll and it’s purist form or intentions. Nor can they improvise on a dime and tap into spiritual magic that is far from perfect. Everyone has their version of music and this is mine. Good luck writing vocal melodies that resonate with millions guitar snobs of KZbin
