Very similar to the old system for gambling on snooker, but now it has changed. You can still bet on individual frames but the bet has to be placed before it starts in the real time, this has actually been great for the integrity of the game as there is drastically less match fixing. You used to be able to put large sums of money on a player who's opponent has just missed a shot and left them on and easy for a certain clearance and the odds would only change when the balls had completely stopped moving. Unfortunately for the punters, it's a thing of the past.

(security monitor FOBT machines, store cameras and listening devices remotely.) thought it was odd but did it anyway... The guy, without saying a word, just left, I was expecting an argument obviously. Turns out the was a hack for one of the games that would always guarantee hitting a win. I used to work at a private racquets club in london about 7 years ago, and this was common knowledge amongst staff. Would see people doing it all the time and making serious money from it!! Some staff would literally be sat on their lunch breaks whilst making hundreds or thousands of pounds! I know it would be tennis as soon as i saw title of the video but wouldnt have had a clue it went on had i not worked there. Madness!!
@Chrissaces13 жыл бұрын
I know someone who prices tennis matches for a bookie, sometimes he will say when you will get 2 different bookies giving 'no lose' odds... basic example - one bookie favours one player at 3/1 and the other bookie favours the other player at 3/1 (usually not top level players), £100 put on both players via the bookie they are favoured by returns £400... It won't be as simple as both players being the same odds, that's just an example, but stuff like this crops up all the time... It would be good to have software that can access multiple bookie accounts and auto place bets for you when this occurs, you could just have your bank balance increase without having to even lift a finger! Plus, you'd be unlikely to be suspected or banned by any bookie, as you'd generally be winning and losing with each bookie like any other player, the only difference being that every one of your joint bets are guaranteed to win a profit overall with one of the bookies!
@JugheadBug7 ай бұрын
This is called arbitrage betting. And there are a lot of softwares available. I myself do a couple of arbitrage sometimes but it's not worth it. I feel there are more successful betting strategies. You do get banned or restricted really quickly if you're arbitraging so me id rather keep my accounts alive longer and generate small profits over a longer timeframe. Also it's not worth it arbitraging 5% on a 500£ bankroll. It's just 25£ and you could get a couple a day but at the risk of getting your account banned and funds withheld if the bookie is not reputable. If you have questions I'm happy to tell you about it

I'd like to hear a decent explanation of why Betfair leave (non-VAR) games suspended so long after a goal is scored. There have been a bunch of Leeds games this season where they've supsended it for 4 minutes !
@sharkyjawz13425 жыл бұрын
So I take it 99.9% of sporting events with a betting market have correspondence at the event relaying real time data, although I know betfair was suggested as an expection and them being particularly fast. I heard about people building arduino type builds and integrating crude ui into the sports book api to relay realtime data. The name of the game is speed and it would be advantageous and much more feasible to pay off umpires, at the lowest level tennis event that has a betting market, to increase the time to input point results. Of course traveling to these obscure tennis events equates to sizeable overheads, not to mention obtaining an infinite supply of betting accounts. I suppose maximizing the potential of each account is paramount and an intrinsic understanding of the game to take advantage of various variables I.e clay courts would require more time for calls of "in" or "out" due to there being viable marks on the court. Another overhead would be Hawkeye and incorrect information relayed to the syndicate on the betting acc. Side.

Courtsiding and slow counting bets are easily identified

To all the people in the comments saying this guy is a 'legend' and a 'genius' etc, this is not new, and he certainly didn't invent it. Court-siding has been happening for at least 10 years in some shape or form. Bookies have tried to counter it, in most European games there are people looking for this sort of behaviour and people often get banned from tournaments for trying to do it. All this guy has done is publicise what many are doing and were doing way before he started doing it. They won't thank him for giving it yet more publicity but to be honest the bookies have been well aware of it for years, clearly when it can still be done, the bookies are making more than enough from offering these services than they're losing from these sorts of guys, but it's a continual cat and mouse game and they will ban successful accounts that keep winning like that particularly on point betting in tennis matches... it isn't hard for traders to notice this sort of thing and ban or restrict the accounts. This guy is offering this information to the BBC either just for the recognition or fame of it or because it is running out and a diminishing opportunity.

In tennis the odds of a player breaking a set are way lower then the server holding a point so if a player goes up 40-15 on the break the odds will be decent if you bet on the person who has 40 in the game since they are not the person serving and can easily still lose the point. These guys are betting on the person who is up 40-30 40-15 40-0 etc the moment they win the game before the person umping can transmit the point.

This should be such an easy one to tackle. If a user places a bet < 2 seconds before winning, 3 times within 5 minutes mark the user as sus. When user is sus, have a cooldown of 10s on every bet, meaning the bet takes 10s to place. The sus status is removed after 6 hours or a number of normal bets.
@jt9324x Жыл бұрын
maybe but thats also kinda hard to implement. the bookies dont know when the point will be won, so they cannot allow the bet to be placed and then take the bet off again. and remember in tennis they are betting per round. and some rounds are very quick, so if they implement this rule they may also take bets off of legitimate players who arent courtsiding and they will not be allowed to bet as much. its very possible that a legitimate non courtsider places 3 bets that win within 2 seconds . and some rounds will take less than 10s so the sus status you mentioned would lose more potential profit for the average non courtsider, which are 99% of their customers.
@jt9324x Жыл бұрын
@@chinering23 cant do that in tennis mate, its too fast pace, it will give barely any time for them to place bets and as 99.9% of their customers are normal betters they will lose a lot more profit.

In theory bookmakers are really just making transaction fees like any broker would by finding sufficient counterparties at sufficient odds to offset any bets. This is needed because the probabilities of the outcomes is unknown to the bookmaker or the parties ahead of time therefore the bookmaker has to offset the risk of taking anyone's bet. A casino on the other hand knows the odds of every game and payouts so they simply tax the outcomes to ensure the game is slightly less than fair to the players. The best example of this being roulette since red or black double your money but have slightly less than 50% chance to occur due to the 00s. That difference in payout vs probability results in the haircut to the casino.
