Stopped watching Dr. Who long ago (2000?), I'm a classics super fan. Heard all the gossip and backlash drama going on but didn't care as I have always hated the "modern" versions of Dr. Who starting with Christopher Eccleston. Buy oh wow! All the drama and critics and backlash was right. What a travesty! This is NOT Dr. Who! I don't mind the baby's part as the classics had some super silly characters. What I mind is what they've done with the Dr. I could bare (although I stopped watching and wasn't interested) the actors from Eccleston on...even the female (I take it as an aberration in the regeneration as it's happened before) but this gay guy is just UGH! And I'm an old gay guy who was around to watch the classics when they aired! So no this is not a homophobic opinion. I can take Dr. Who maybe...maybe, being Bi but this is just to much. It's ok to be straight! Of course I ALWAYS thought the Dr. as being non sexual. Ever since they started with the disgusting love cr*** with Rose it went waaaay downhill for me.

I was planning on avoiding all the controversy over this new series and make my own opinion about it but, when it was published in metro that "doctor who isn't, and never was made for straight white males" I felt alienated and excluded and because I respect the wishes of the cast and crew, I won't watch it now out of respect. I do think that the BBC and disney need to look up the definitions of "inclusive" and "excluding" because they seem to be focusing on the latter. D.E.I My arse!! What they're pushing is actually D.E.E! The only sane reason I can think of for this behaviour is that the BBC are trying to destroy themselves so that they can change and make a killing out of the perceived massive gay uptake they think is gonna happen and plan to run adverts "exclusively" for them. Bad plan BBC, nobody watches you now, do you really think that they'll watch with adverts? That's the only thing the BBC has in its favour now. 😂🎉
