I remember chatting to Sean Hughes one night in Cargo, Shoreditch. I didnt know he was an alcoholic until then and he was absolutely wasted. So sad because he was such a really nice guy. If only more was done to help addiction, and more to prevent it. The stigma makes it so hard for people to admit to a problem and ask for help early. RIP. A lot of good gags and fun on TV has been lost with him.

For some of us, our first exposure to Sia was through the UK Garage scene from the Exemen Works remix of her song "Little Man". HUGE hit in the clubs back then! It's arguably one of the top 10 most iconic UK Garage tracks of all time.

Thank you so much for sharing this. This series feels like such a magical time capsule, and I loved Sean as a music presenter. He was obsessed with music, so seemed so natural when he was interviewing musicians. Is there any way of accessing any more Inside Tracks?

A one-minute version of this truly exquisite and valuable video was posted on Sia Twitter a few years ago. I have been looking for the full version since then and I searched a lot but could not find it.😭You must be a Sia stan to understand how I feel right now.✌I can't find the words to describe my happiness.😍 This video is very dear to me.😊Thank you sooooooo very much.👍 For dear late SEAN HUGHES, I pray for peace and happiness from God.💚🙏💙

Why does this look like it was recorded last week? Yet nearly 25 years ago. Now go back from 2000 25 years - 1975. Thing looked MASSIVELY different. Things are definitely slowing down.
@noisyminer17 күн бұрын
Because the quality of film recording has been high for many decades, but due to limits on broadcast quality you could not see that over the TV. So the original film recording of many things from the year 2000 will be at this higher quality. You need someone to digitise the original film to get this quality, otherwise you are stuck with the low quality broadcast copy that was likely copied to a VCR and then digitised - this is the most common recording type we see.

The Crashland song was New Perfume, which was re-recorded and released in 2000 after signing with Independiente. I was given the original Blue Dog version in 1998 by a DJ mate and thought it was stupidly good. There was an industry buzz about them for a bit, but they were done by 2001. A shame, as they had some great songs. Alex Troup later released stuff as Troup.

lol SIA seems a little high here. I used to play her single Taken for Granted to death when it first came out. It’s such a great song with dry sarcastic lyrics starting of as being downbeat with how she’s treated and finishes with her feeling more empowered. It’s funny she comes across as quite cute and ditzy and that’s completely different to the sound/vibe of her music ☺️
