yeah i was wondering that too i think maybe they just install a sh!tton of really good cameras in strategic spots and just crop out whatever they want from extremely high resolution footage. if this is the way theyre doing it they probably caught a whole bunch of other cool sh!t too and either the focus was on the beetles from the start or they just happened to have a lot of their yeeting caught on camera. but some of the downward shots seems like the cameras were for the beetles from the start. they seem way too focused on specific branches. i guess they knew where the beetles hang out or lured them with food or maybe the female was captured beforehand and used a bait? if everything was 100% natural and no staging was involved it would have taken years to get footage like this. wildlife photgraphers probably have dozens of techniques like that. itd be a kickass job though.
